Camp Dewan

My local to the area Boy Scout Troop used to go to Camp Dewan until the prices skyrocketed. The cost per day/night is around $4 less than a day/night at a summer camp. At a summer camp, three meals and counselor wages are figured into that total. The camp itself is beautiful and accommodating, but the cost per Scout is hard to ignore. The camp is solar powered? Relying less on electrical power is great, that should drive the cost per person down.

Went here for camping with the Boy Scouts. We call it the bed and breakfast of all camping places. There's a loft in the barn, half a basketball court, there's even an observatory inside of the corn silo that you can open up and there's a telescope for you to use. The second cabin is nice, temperature can be a bit chilly though. The movie theater is pretty amazing. Best place for camping I've ever been to.
