El Potrero

I have gotten a meal at the bar twice now. The place has a very laid back staff which isn't always a bad thing, but the bartender both times had copious amounts of dirty dishes surrounding her work station, was clearly spending lots of time with their significant other who was at the bar and regularly was on her phone. That is really my only qualm though as the food was very good, the prices are not outrageous and the drink specials are pretty darn good.

If you know what to order, it's fine... but whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER WATER. It's well water, and it's absolutely disgusting. Unfortunately, all I drink is water, but they won't let me drink from a water bottle in my own purse. Sure wish they'd get a good filtration system!

Good food. Reasonable price. There chips and salsa are fantastic.

This place is awesome! I have never had bad food or poor service with this little slice of Mexico north of the border. Portions are great, food is authentic, and prices are very reasonable. They even have daily specials! Come experience El Potrero. You'll be glad you did!

Maybe just a bad day. We came in to get food togo. The service was backed up and appeared understaffed. We did not get all of our order and did not know until we got home...just fristrating. I am disappointed with the Chimichanga as it was stone cold and not crispy in a way that made me think pre-frozen or leftover from fridge. The fajita meat was good. Not going back at this time.
