El Mero Mero Taqueria

Me and my wife decided to try El Mero Mero after hearing good things about their food truck. And I'm so glad we did. We had the tortilla chips and guacamole and the homemade tortilla chips and guacamole were amazing. They also have a HUGE selection of tacos. I couldn't decide what to get so I had to order two. I went with the slow cooked beef and the fish tacos. The beef was so flavorful and the beef juice for dipping was the perfect touch. The fish tacos were amazing. Some of the best I've had for sure. My wife had the enchiladas and said she would get them again in a heart beat. They also support local entrepreneurs by selling their products in the restaurant. We will definitely be going back and searching out their food truck in the future!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go in Edmonton .. delicious food!! Super quick and wonderful service. They have a wide variety of tacos and other dishes. The place is modern but with that distinct Mexican style. Definitely planning on coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Such a hidden gem! Fast service and amazing food selection. Specialty drink menu with mostly tequila options. 7 tables inside and 5 seats at the bar and a few picnic tables outside. Most of the seats inside are stools except the chairs at the bar. Love that they support a non profit each month this month is Autism Edmonton and they have a wall of local crafts and goods that you can buy from as well!

Excellent authentic Mexican food and awesome Margaritas. We had birria and fish tacos and two types of tamales all we're excellent with house made salsas. The dining room is beautiful and vibrantly decorated by local artists. Great experience!

Honestly if I could give more than 5 stars I would. This was our first time here and the staff made us feel so welcome.The service was unreal, our bartender Jair was so helpful and kind. The food was so fresh and delicious. We ordered 5 dishes and they were all SO good. The Coconut Shrimp Tacos are to die for! The vibe was so fun, the staff were dancing & singing and it felt like I was on vacation. Thank you so much, I feel like we found a gem! I can't wait to come back.

This is our new favourite Mexican restaurant in YEG! The atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed and fun - really cool artwork on the walls. The service was fantastic, our drinks were never empty and everything was quick! The best part, the food! We started with gauc and chips…definitely the best of both I’ve had - I could have left just eating that and been happy. Also started with the queso funido with chorizo, which was also fantastic…the cheese pull was top notch! We split the birria tacos and the pescado - both had beautiful presentations and out of this world flavours! I do have to pick favourites…the birria. I could have drank that broth! Super tender and so flavourful - you guys take the cake in the city for the best! They had really tempting dessert options, but we were already stuffed, so that will be visit #2. Vegetarian options: You can ask to make something vegan or vegetarian. Parking: Big parking lot in front, lots of parking Dietary restrictions: Menu had dietary stamps; gluten free, vegetarian and vegan.

Overall this place was pretty great, the server was really nice and the food came much faster than I'd have expected. The appetizer was had a lot of flavor, and I had the Alambre with chicken as my entree which basically was very similar to fajitas. Although good, nothing particularly stood out flavor wise but the side of mole sauce made it much better. Nice atmosphere and you can even watch the food being made.

Appetizer was a delightful cheese fondue with tortilla! Yummy Also had the taco platter tried 5 different flavours! Ended the night with a wonderful cake Was delicious, will definitely be returning!!

Great food with great service !!! I absolutely loved the tortilla chips , they were super crispy and made in house. I will be buying a bag of those next time I visit ! Tacos were great ! Loved the atmosphere, will be returning

I have nothing but great things to say about El Mero Mero! We had been seeing posts all over Instagram and had to check it out. If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, then this is the place for you. The corn tortillas were some of the best I've had. The service was excellent and very fast! Definitely will be back.Food: 5/5
