Cute and aesthetic taco place in Port Credit area with a heated patio that is open during the colder season. The tacos itself were mid-tier, had decent seasoning and flavour but smaller in portions than expected. The taquitos were crispy and were delicious. Great and friendly service!
Dinning here was such a nice experience. Amazing atmosphere. Great food and drinks. Clean place. Friendly staff. My wife and I really enjoyed eating here. We’re definitely going to come back here.Food: 5/5
El Jefe has the Best Nachos in town, awesome drinks my margaritas were strong and delicious , great music and ambiance. I need to come back and try your menu. One thing I didn't like was how cramped the patio tables were I couldn't get out of my table as the other chair behind me was blocking me from getting out, remove a table or get stools instead of those big chair u got.
I am Latino and I do not understand why the ratings here are so low!! Yes the food is not as authentic as it can be and a tad bit bland but it’s still a step-up from taco . The customer service here is super great and the waiters are super friendly. They truly deserve the large tip I gave. Now even though my vegetarian friend got her order mixed up for a chicken quesadilla and ate it, it’s okay because mistakes happen and it was not on purpose. I appreciate this restaurant for trying to embrace Latin culture and I hope they go on. The tropical-themed clothing that the waiters have on is really interesting and cool and I like it. The patio layout is also very very interesting! Thank you and I wish this restaurant all the best!!!
I love the decor of this restaurant. The vibe is great and the staff, John was pretty good and friendly. We ordered quite a bit to try and everything was cooked beautifully and taste very good. The only complaint I have was the fish taco, is pretty fishy. I would highly recommend this restaurant
~~ HALAL CHICKEN ~~ Atmosphere and place was great but food was bland and tasteless. All the food was pretty bland not spicy or flavorful at all. I wouldn't come again personally but still glad I tried it once ! Prices were a little on the higher side and there's extra charges for basic things like jalapeños and sauces. Would of preferred grilled chicken pieces instead of pulled chicken in the tacos and actual fries instead of flour thingys those are filling tho!
Finally able to try El Jefe for the first time. The place is beautifully decorated, We really like all the artistic murals and decors all throughout the restaurant. They have a heated patio too. Place is spacious, seats are comfortable. The staff were so friendly and very welcoming. Special hello to Angie! Thank you! Most importantly, food is great! We had vegetarian nachos, the mango salsa is yum! Nachos were so crispy. Good for 2-3 persons. Chimichanga was really good. It had a very generous topping w/c we really loved! We really enjoyed this dish. Tacos- Vampiro: steak. It was good. A bit chewy but overall, it’s still good. Pescado: fish. This is a must try. Burrito bowl with steak, meat was tasty, though some pieces were a bit chewy but still would say that this also a must try. Good amount of serving. They also have a good selection of drinks menu. Would definitely try that next time.
Such a good spot in Port Credit to unwind and enjoy delicious food & drinks with your friends! El Jefe has an outdoor patio which is amazing in the summer you'll feel like you're on vacation + you can't go wrong with any of their drinks it's a good vibe. We went back when they had first opened and we can happily say that they've significantly improved the quality/taste of food! From the menu we got: - Classic Margarita - Blue Margarita - Camaron Taco - Coliflor Taco - Ceviche De Camaron - Burrito Bowl - Nachos - Churros Location: 66 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga
This is a very popular place. We ordered chicken tacos, fish tacos, quesadillas and Queso Fundido. The chicken taco was soooo spicy and I did not enjoy the flavour. I had told the waitress I didn't like spicy food and she didn't warn me. In truth, we weren't happy with our waitress. More on that later. The fish taco was awesome. It was delicious. I would go back to order the fish tacos on take out. I wouldn't go dine in again. The queso looked burned but didn't taste burned. It was difficult to eat. It's supposed to be a dip but I needed a knife to make it edible. I'm guessing it's not supposed too be like that. The quesadillas was good. Our waitress didn't bring any napkins or cutlery our table. The Coke we ordered was flat. My guest had to get up and go to the bar to get napkins. Sir didn't even ask us if we wanted water. I would have given it a 2 star if the fish taco wasnt so delicious. I won't be back to dine but I may order the fish tacos to go if I'm in the area.
Ordered the Chicken Chimichanga, it was quite good and flavourful. My only issue is the portion, it was smaller that I thought or maybe I am just a big boy . The venue quite small and packed! The outside seating was pleasant especially on summer days. The server was nice and understandably overwhelmed. They were out of steak when I went so will be returning to try out the tacos. Overall, definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
