As far as my adventures for Greek coffees has taken me, this place is undoubtedly my favourite place to get a fredo cappuccino in TorontoFood: 5/5
love this place! No menu but you can ask what’s good or for whatever and they are always kind, accommodating and relaxed. You can play backgammon here and there are heaters outside Hidden gem ;
Don’t be put off that there’s no menu. They serve wide variety of coffees and you just tell them what you’d like. We had the latte and cappuccino and both were top notch. There’s a nice patio to sit and soak up the sun over a cup and you’ll get a real laid back experience.
I've lived in the neighborhood for 10 years. I've tried to order coffee here 2xs and both times received extremely rude service. I won't try a third time. Many other amazing spots in the neighborhood.
I had the strangest experience today! I went in, the shop girl was super nice and took my order, and tried to take another woman's order at the same time but did not hear her right away and the woman got SO rude! Even the girl asked her, like "I don't know why you are reacting like this when I just didn't hear you? It's normal, we are both wearing masks" and the woman asked her if Corona had her on edge and told her to go pray because she must have been having a bad day. So strange lmao! But they handled it very well. Very friendly people and a great cup of coffee especially for $2. It was super hard not to buy one of the pastries too! Wish I could have hung out on the patio but I had to go to work
A coworker recommended I check this place out as I love coffee a while ago and I was finally in the area. Mostly the neighbourhood Greeks, but when I went around 2pm wasn't too busy. I asked the barista, "Mina" what she would recommend and she quickly explained then whipped up a creamy, strong yet sweet iced coffee. They only take cash so I was not prepared, but she was so kind as to give it on the house. I will definitely be back. People don't do gestures like that anymore; great service and on top of that the drink was tasty.
Random stop for lunch today. Ordered a turkey & cheese panini with a Greek Coffee. Awesome food & coffee that was fresh and tasty. Very friendly, inviting environment. Would definitely stop here again when I'm in the area. Great prices for great quality
I thought I would give this place a second chance. This time I ordered a regular coffee. It was weak , piping, piping hot, tasted like plastic and you are not allowed to add your own milk, cream or sugar they do it for you. I reached for a sugar and was told it was already added. Lid was put on for me so I can't judge amount of cream not to mention dirty fingers on my lid after handling cash. The patio is full of smokers so it's also unpleasant to walk into or by. Same experience as my first time only I had an overpriced espresso.
So apparently El Greco serves great coffee. However, drawn in by the pictures of yummy panninis and sandwiches, I thought I would get something to eat. I don't drink coffee but wanted a sandwich. What I got was two slices of dry freezer bread with 2 slices of turkey supposedly coldcuts and a bit of shredded cheese. Not grilled on the presse, but defrosted between two pieces of foil. Not buttered and nothing else offered on it. Stuck into a bag without even slicing the sandwich in half. I have to say it is absolutely the worst sandwich I have ever had. They really need to take down the food pictures from the front window, because that is false advertising at its best. All I can say is that their coffee must really be something because the food is awful. And I couldn't even post the review without awarding at least one star, which was undeserved.
I won in a raffle some tickets for coffee from this place. I have use them twice and in both occasion they have treated me like garbage. The second time I went with a greek friend and she was incredibly upset by all the things the ladies working there were saying. Terrible service, never going back not even for free coffee.
