Eggcellent P'Eats

We came into Eggcellent Pete’s when the place was nearly empty on a Tuesday afternoon, yet it still took 35–45 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered the Reuben, which looked amazing on the menu—thick cut meat piled high. What I got? A sad, skimpy sandwich with barely a few slivers of meat. It looked *nothing* like the picture.nnWhen we politely pointed it out to our waitress, she was very kind and understanding. But then, out of nowhere, a rude girl from the kitchen stormed out to our table and basically told us, “That’s how we serve it, and have for 8 years. If you don’t like it, too bad.” Zero professionalism, zero care.nnEven the waitress was shocked and apologized, saying the kitchen staff had no right to speak to customers like that. She was so embarrassed by her colleague’s behavior she told us we didn’t have to pay and could just leave if we wanted to. I ended up not eating anything at all after waiting nearly an hour.nnI’ve never had a cook come out of the kitchen just to argue with a customer. Completely unacceptable behavior, misleading menu photos, slow service, and an overall horrible vibe. I’ll never be back.

It's just a chill place for a decent breakfast. Not too expensive and the food is good. Nice quiet atmosphere and the staff are always pleasant. Need some new salt/pepper shakers though :

Vancouver visitor. Loved this little vintage style charming eaterie in the original downtown part of Fort Saskatchewan. Great menu selection. I had the light order Monte Cristo and it was huge! Also had a delicious bowl of homemade Hawaii chicken. The service is friendly and non-rushed. Great menu selection. I would definitely eat here again on my next visit.

I loved that every table was full but it still felt quiet, spacious and comfortable. My boyfriend and I dislike crowded restaurants but it felt so good inside. The waitress and kitchen staff were helpful in customizing and eggs Benny to give my boyfriend exactly what he wanted and everything was DELICIOUS.nnAlso the bathrooms are completely separated from one another with totally private, closed stalls; it surprised me.nnWe want to become regulars here :
