Shared the land and sea platter, had the blueberry cheesecake and the lemon meringue pie! Food was decent although I wasn’t sure what spring rolls were doing on the platter - the rest of the food breaded boneless dry ribs, calamari, onion rings, breaded shrimp, etc. seemed to fit well on the plate but the spring rolls did not, nor did they benefit the plate as I felt they brought down the quality and flavour of the platter. Service was good albeit a little slow, even considering the dinner rush. Atmosphere was great, conversational, and offered lots of little “Newfie” details.
I was not disappointed when I decided to try out The Atlantic Kitchen to fulfill my craving for fish and chips. Great fish served in an old-style diner atmosphere with friendly staff. They are known for their fish but also cook their own beef and turkey. Homemade pies.
Excellent battered fish and chips. Definitely recommend the halibut. The side gravy for the fries is amazing. I had the the clam chowder and it was tasty and served hot. My wife and I enjoyed our food and definitely recommend coming. Great fish and chips place. There are other options but when coming to a fish place get the signature dish. The ambiance is great and the restaurant is clean. As a side note there is an excellent retail shop attached to the restaurant that features Atlantic provinces products. Loved this place.
I tried the Atlantic Kitchen on a recent trip to Edmonton. The service was great, the atmosphere was like a restaurant you would walk into in Newfoundland so you know the foods going to be good. The food was amazing, just like you would get at a family owned diner on the east coast. The fries dressing and gravy were the best I’ve had in a long time. Fresh, crispy and home cut, the whole meal just hit the spot. Would definitely recommend trying them out if you’re ever in the area, or got a hankering for some good down east cooking.
I recommend anyone try here if they love fish. Went here when we passed through Fort Saskatchewan. I loved the fish cakes, they were made perfectly. The decor was awesome to look around while waiting for your meals. The waitress was so friendly and made sure our drinks were topped up.
