Tried to get a room it’s a 3 star hotel I went onto Priceline and tried to get a room they are now charging 150 extra dollars and will give it back after you leave. As someone that has cancer and two service animals they said I would have to pay for my second service dog. Never had any issues until recently. I’ve stayed there plenty of times. But they put this new policy in for the 150$ when I could go get a 5 star hotel for that price and not be told they are gonna charge me for my second service animal. They were very disrespectful to me. I’m also a military vet and never been treated so poorly in my life at a hotel. So I don’t recommend staying here unless if you want to be charged $238 for one night granted yes you might get the $150 back but that’s double what I even was charged for the room.
I was hopeful when I booked a room here. I had stayed in 2006 and the rooms were wonderful. Returning in 2023 was an entirely different experience. The rooms had the same furnishings compared in photos from both trips and I suspect the same mattresses as I slept in a bed with a huge dip in the center. The furnishings were chipped and dirty from age. The draperies were hanging off the rod and missing hooks and had no daytime sheets like before so you were either in shrouded in darkness or living in a fishbowl. Instead of repairs or replacements on some things, they were simply left such as a missing light and the twisted hangers. There was an old, open can of Fresca in the fridge. The room basically looked like it had been stripped of everything over the years. The pillows were small and beaten down, sitting on top of an old bed cover with no attempt to even make it look like the bed was made. Then there was a family above us who had kids that were rolling the chairs across the wood floors at 11pm. It was certainly disappointing and not worth the $130 we paid for the night. The staff person was delightful, though.
Okay so 4 years ago I gave this motel 5 stars. I have stayed here on over 20 occasions easily in the past 14 years and remember when I was super young coming in with my mom when it was the Rose as I am from the Flathead, but now live in Big Sky, and always always always have had a pleasant experience and everyone that worked there has always been kind and accommodating and check in had always been quick professional and hassle free. Kat is an absolute pleasure to be around and does an outstanding job making sure that the customers are taken care of and keep coming back. It is really dissapointing that I will never ever again go back and stay here ever again after driving 6 hrs through a blizzard and the unprofessional blatant disrespectful unessecarry treatment from the front desk agent I walked out dissapointed and pretty surprised. It is a shame that even the few last places that were still our hometown favorites have totally lost their values. If you had any other options for overnight lodging including sleeping in your vehicle during the winter, I would recommend opting for that option vs. Having an awful experience and being treated with the disrespect that is now apparently what is offered at the econo lodge. It isn't worth it in any level. Kat you do an amazing job and probably the only reason that motel is still even in business after that. Thank you.
For how much I spent, the room was worth it.Cheerful staff in reception/ breakfast room each morning. Complementary breakfast had enough options to appeal to most people. Granola bars were great snacks for the hiking trails.nIf you just need a basic room, this place fills that requirement.
I think it's been an overall good experience. I enjoyed the stay with the complimentary breakfast cereals, bagels, muffins, coffees and juices..no sausages and eggs and the check out time was 11am. The front desk was helpful and friendly. No complaints. I would definitely stay here again.
