The EcoCab l Yes, we reinvented the wheel.

EcoCab is a revolutionary new urban shuttle vehicle that combines innovative fuel-free transportation with interactive media space. The 3-wheeled vehicle is primarily driven by pedal-power and receives a little help from a rechargeable battery assist system when required. The EcoCabs eye catching body design is completely constructed of recycled plastic and operates with zero emissions.

Daily Operations l Everyday is Earth Day.

EcoCab is available in the downtown core as well as other high traffic areas such as street festivals, special events or entertainment attractions. Our service area stretches from Bloor Street, including the Yorkville district, to the Waterfront and from Spadina Avenue to Church Street. Our short distance shuttle service launches on Earth Day (April 22) each year and focuses on daytime hours during weekdays and evening hours on weekends.

Driver Gratuities l Giving charities a lift.

EcoCab donates a portion of all driver gratuities to Earth Day as a means of giving back to the community. While there is no requirement for consumers to provide a gratuity to their EcoCab driver, many do in appreciation for the valued service they receive. We appreciate our passenger’s generosity and look forward to assisting many worthwhile causes with those proceeds.

Our unique program and eco-friendly vehicles allow our brand partners to interact with consumers while providing them a value added free service that impacts their everyday lives. By providing consumers with a complimentary and fuel-free transportation alternative, brands can establish themselves as an environmentally responsible company committed to community minded thinking.

Get on board with EcoCab and gain valuable access to some of the largest and most popular events in your city. Join us as we support thousands of event attendees by providing our free eco-friendly transportation services at pro sporting events, street festivals, major concerts and other special events

Interactive touch screens
Our in-cab touch screen and allow passengers to interact with participating brands through social media as well as their own websites, promotional videos and custom apps. The mounted displays feature vibrant colour, sharp text and external audio which combine to offer riders a truly unique experience.

Media attention
The EcoCab program and its unique electric vehicles have generated over 40 million media impressions since its launch. Almost all of this media attention has been shared with our sponsors. EcoCab is a great way for brands to be both green and seen while providing a value added free service.

Passengers l Economical.

Yes, EcoCab is free. Now, before you ask your driver to load up your luggage and peddle you on a cross country road trip, there are a few things you should know. EcoCab is generally available in the downtown core or any other high traffic area such as street festivals, special events or entertainment attractions. Our rides are generally limited to short distances as we want to have our free service available to as many people as possible. Unlike traditional taxi’s our vehicles don’t use fuel and cannot be ordered by phone. However, you can stop one street-side and simply hop in. Each EcoCab in our fleet is funded by a participating brand, so when you board our bike you may get to enjoy a free product sample or learn a little more about that company. Take the time to get to know us and enjoy your ride.

Employment l Drive Change.

Yes, we know what you’re thinking; a fun job that lets you work outside and socialize with others, while you get to work on your tan and exercise, sounds too good to be true. Well, it is a great job, but before you cancel your gym membership and buy a new pair of cool shades, here is what we’re looking for. You need to be in strong physical condition with a great sense of direction including knowledge of city streets, venues and events. You should have an outgoing and charismatic personality with exceptional communication skills culminating in your ability to draw attention to your branded EcoCab and our free service. EcoCab drivers must be at least 20 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
