Awesome service very prompt. The woman there is just like that, this is her character, I'm sure she deals with all kinds of people, I find her very intriguing and very nice. Just take whatever you came for & leave :p I mistakenly said green bike, she was like this is not green this is blue, she was just funny to me. I wish I asked her name.
They rent bikes. They can be less than friendly and gracious. If there was another place to rent from I'd go there. The good news is the bikes are decent.
We rented 4 bikes for 24 hours. Bikes were in great shape, tires were pumped up, and service was friendly. The bike paths along the river are great a bit crowded with pedestrians at some points, but fine for a casual ride. We spent 3 hours along the river fairly flat and 3 hours the next day riding up to Nose Hill Park be ready to climb, but the view of Calgary is very nice. Drivers are very biker friendly. Loved biking in Calgary.
Roll-in, roll-out experience, friendly and knowledgeable staff, awesome location to get to the canal easily and have a wonderful day of rollerblading on quality equipment. They know their gear well, and offer a very fuss-free, straight to the point service; loved it! Definitely recommend for ease of access and service quality
Went here twice. Was seemingly overcharged twice. First time I called the staff member on it, she apologized and blamed it on the register. Although seemingly miserable prior, she kindly reimbursed me for the overage. Second time, I go in and ask "Which raft is the $60 raft" and she clearly points out the big one on the left. I say "I'll be back within the hour." Then my girlfriend goes in to get the $60 RAFT explaining I had just been in, and she pulls down the exact same one she had pointed out to me earlier while I was getting the car ready. Next thing you know, my girlfriend is charged for the $80 raft, plus the $15 for the three life jackets + tax = $99 altogether. I decided I wouldn't cause a scene, but midway through our day I called RapidRent to see why she overcharged us again. She told me "I told you we only had the $40 or $80 rafts." No you did not. I am not dense, thick, stupid. But, I left it at that because I was not going to argue with her. Here is how I exact my revenge. We don't mind paying this amount, it was only $20 more. But when you blatantly lie to us, especially after our questionable first experience, it is a simply unethical and pathetic business practice. Not to mention you were rude and unpleasant both times. Will never return. Rafts were nice but that is the only reason this is two stars. Try lazy days.
Only been here once but it was great service! got the medium 4-6 person raft for $60 before GST. for the day cheapest place I have found they provided all the things you need for your raft include. the raft, a pump, 2 paddles, a whistle and a rope will definitely be going back!!! : only thing I would say to keep in mind, look at the size before piking as I found the medium was perfect for 3 people and all the stuff you bring along!
Well, we were very UNFORTUNATE to bump into a lady with attitude problem. Ever since I entered the store, she had no customer service skills, literraly choking on her bowl of cereals while talking to me. Showed no effort in helping us choosing a bike. We have a wiener dog who is a part of our family. We asked if a larger basket was available after which she said "just make him fit in there!" - totally not doable for our dog.. She was so miserable, rude and unprofessional. The place is conveniently located close to the Bow River and they charge by the hour - this is the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars. Message to owner - make sure you train your staff. This is a very bad experience for any tourists in Calgary. What a SHAME!!
I was looking online for a place to rent a bike for a friend, when I noticed some of the reviews for Rapid Rent. There is a post from Martin, describing a poor experience, and the response from the owner is what made me not even remotely consider this place. The owner doesn't even apologize to Martin for a poor experience. In fact, the owner just spews out a bunch of excuses. Way to retain business and make people feel like their opinions of a bad experience are valued - NOT. How do people like this stay in business? Maybe save the food eating for the staff room. This does not sound like a professional business, nor does the owner seem to give two shakes about the fact that someone had a poor experience. Boycotting this place. Save your money for a place that will actually value your business.
Great experience. Chris the owner suggested trails we might enjoy. The bikes were in excellent condition and the cost was less than other places we have rented from. Sometimes it pays to ignore reviews and we're glad we did.
Best way to explore Calgary. There are bike paths for miles up and down the river as well as many city streets with separated bike tracks. The rates were very reasonable and the woman at the shop was very helpful with tips where to go.
