The Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department manages over 52,275 acres of county forestland for timber production, public recreation and wildlife habitat development; manages and maintains 7 county parks, 3 county-owned dams which provide water-based recreation opportunities and regular water levels; maintain 183 miles of snowmobile trails and 30 miles of ATV trails and routes; maintain 4 cross-country ski areas totaling 22 miles of trail; and oversee and maintain other recreation opportunities including 135 campsites and mountain bike, horseback and disc golf trails.
