Ride,hike,or walk along the old" Milwaukee road "railroad that took the place of the steamboat along the beautiful chippewa.Plenty of places to picnic, nature watch,or let yourself be transported back in time as most of this path has not changed in the last 130 years.The trail is well maintained. There is a fee for bike use, but not for walking.

Great trail, not extremely well maintained from the rest-stop on 85 to Carryville, (so many weeds and cracks in the pavement) but otherwise GREAT.

Beautiful trail along the river! Great biking trail with some distance. Takes you to downtown Eau claire and Durand. A little bumpy at spots but still good condition overall.

Have ridden portion from Eau Claire to Caryville. Lots of scenic spots along the river.
