East Shore Dental Care: Janice Hall Ormsby, DDS

I came to Dr. Ormsby's office a little less than a year ago. I've had a couple visit's now, and have had a great experience each time. Previously I really hated going to the dentist, and had avoided going entirely for several years (with the exception of dental emergencies). The prices are higher than other dental offices, but I feel that the work is generally worth the price. When I had crowns done, Dr. Ormsby spent an extensive amount of time adjusting and readjusting the bite surface, so that my bite felt correct.

I drive almost 2 hours one way to go to the dentist to see Dr.Ormsby and her staff to get dental work done...that there should tell you how I feel about her practice. Her equipment is the latest technology and you get the best of the best. Yes, I could go to a local dentist that would be a bit cheaper but my teeth and health are really important to me, you get what you pay for. For the first time in my life I have no fear of going to the dentist, which is huge for me. A very calming and soothing office and I always leave there with a little lighter bounce in my step!

I just saw Dr. Ormsby for the first time yesterday! My dentist totally messed up a root canal and I've been in excruciating pain for months. When I called, I was able to be seen the sane day! The x-rays and the exam were half of what I've paid elsewhere. I was treated with compassion and given an explanation of my options "in English" and it was completely obvious that the staff and Dr. are VERY knowledgeable and caring! Thank you! PS... the office is overlooking the lake and I find it to be relaxing and a refreshing change from the "clinical" feel

Exceptionally competent and caring. Dr. Ormsby and her staff take great care to make their patients feel relaxed and comfortable. They have kept my teeth in good repair for years - plus there is a spectacular view of Cayuga Lake from the waiting room (bring binoculars!).

I had not been to a dentist in more years than I care to admit. I had nothing but bad experiences with anyone that I had gone to in the past, including in my childhood. The last time I had gone for a cleaning it was not completed as I was in to much pain. As you can imagine I had several teeth that were in bad shape and becoming unbearable. My husband keep telling me I really needed to do something so I has not in pain. I challenged him with finding someone. He did some research and came up with Dr. Ormsby. I have never regretted it. The entire staff is caring, patience and professional. I never was made to feel like a lesser person for not having been to the dentist in so long. They explained all of my options and the costs and answered all of my questions. On my first visit to have a procedure done I was very nervous. They made sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. If a look on my face made them think I was uncomfortable they immediately stopped and make sure I has ok. I highly recommend East Shore Dental Care.
