Story

East Kootenay Midwives is the practice of Jane Blackmore, Carolyn Thibeault and Sivan Bar-Sever, Registered Midwives. Jane and Carolyn are a shared care team and Sivan provides solo midwifery care. Care starts at the beginning of your pregnancy and we offer informed choice discussions, and longer appointment times to get to know your midwife. We also offer home or hospital birth to women having healthy pregnancies.

Every single one of these ladies are truly extraordinary. I moved to Cranbrook at 34 weeks pregnant from the lower mainland, were I had received poor midwifery care. EKM happily squeezed me into their busy schedule and my mind was blown at the difference in service. They are all kind, knowledgeable, compassionate, energetic and comforting. I wish I could fully express my gratitude to the whole team, who went above and beyond for my son and I in pre and postnatal care. They are all invested in you and your baby's well-being and will go out of their way to help where they can. Special shout out to Sherisse who ended up delivering "my little honey", you are a rock star! Thank you EKM for the amazing journey together.

What an incredible team of women. They guided me through every step of my pregnancy, birth and weeks after baby joined us. They are knowledgeable, caring, honest and genuine in their approach. The support both my husband and I recieved was amazing. Thank yoi for making our first adventure so wonderful.

They're all wonderful, attentive, caring individuals.  Can't say enough about their care and our birth.
