Had a great time on the patio with my family. Ian and team run a lovely spot with excellent bites and wines on a small but mighty menu. We had 9 plates overall for 5 people and were more than satisfied with the quality, flavours, and portions for the price. The mushroom toast and croquettes were so nice we got ‘em twice. We’ll be back!
My husband and I came for dinner and we were completely blown away. This place is like eating at a 5 star restaurant from the comfort of a cozy, stylish local wine bar. The food was incredible and the wine pairings - well, all I can say is that I never really understood wine pairings until now! It was amazing to find how the wine truly enhanced the culinary experience. If I could give this place ten stars, I would!
East End Vine in Leslieville is an absolute gem, deserving of a perfect 5-star rating. The oysters were impeccably fresh, expertly shucked, and accompanied by delightful sauces. The curated wine selection was outstanding, with knowledgeable staff offering excellent recommendations. The inviting ambiance and attentive service added to the overall experience. East End Vine is a top-notch destination for wine enthusiasts. A must-visit for a truly exceptional dining experience in Toronto.
Amazing wine bar with knowledgeable staff. The food was absolutely fantastic, be sure to ask for the dessert menu, and the staff knew every wine they had on offer and how well they would pair with each combination of dishes. Truly an incredible place to visit!Food: 5/5
After dining at Wynona, we decided to try East End Vine, with excellent wine offerings. We had Champagne & Fried Chicken, Octopus, Crispy Brussels sprouts, Croquettes, Apple Cake - all delicious! Price was reasonable, excellent service, very cozy venue. Definitely a neighbourhood Gem!
Came here with the kids and husband. Love the casual, non-pretencious and local vibe. The tapas were perfect as we had something for everyone. Loved it.
Awesome little cozy wine bar in Leslieville. I highly recommend the Octopus and the Tuna tartare. The staff is also super friendly and knowledgeable!
We found this restaurant on a whim and we were very pleasantly surprised! Ian the owner got us a table despite no reservations, served us himself and was inviting and kind the whole way. He also treated us to a delicious creme brûlée as it was our engagement! highly recommend this hidden gem, we’ll be coming back for more :
The concept of East End Vine was based on the travels of Ian Stoddart. There were a few specific spots which stood out for inspiration: a tapas wine bar in Malaga, Spain; a jazz wine bar in Miami; a wine cheese bar in Melbourne, Australia; and a hidden neighbourhood restaurant in Perugia, Italy. Ian felt he was always telling friends and family about hidden gems he found while travelling, and how he wished to stumble upon something similar in Toronto. Not the brightest in math, but still somewhat knowledgeable Ian put two and two together and came up with the idea of East End Vine, a spot that would bring that same ‘vibe’ to the Toronto Riverdale/Leslieville neighbourhood . Amazing food ..dont forget make a reservation
Came by after a quick google search for Oysters in the area. We were seated and the service was outstanding. Fresh oyster, a delicious glass of Prosecco and the other plates we had were all great. Definitely recommend the croquettes if they are available. There was a lovely energy in the space and it’s clearly a place where people return. Will definitely come back when in the east end!
