Excellent RV and tent campground with RV spots shaded by tall pines, a playground for kids, sand volleyball courts, toilets and showers. Some of the RV pull though spots don't have much shade but the majority do. Full hook-ups. There's a river walk nearby, which is more of a hike really, down to the river, very uphill coming back. Just a short drive to Chippewa Falls. Also located adjacent to Newbourne Village, a small but charming Renaissance festival that runs June through July 4th weekend. All in all a great launching pad to explore Chippewa Valley.
Overpriced parking lot campground. Small print: you cannot arrive and set up after 6pm when the office closes and they require a picture of your camper prior to booking if it is older than 15 years. Don’t bother buying wood here, completely overpriced for a small amount of lumber yard scraps. $10 for the pictured amount. Should call it grumpy old man campground based on excessive rules and employees. Not close to the river as pictured. If we had our own bathroom in our camper we probably would’ve stayed in the Walmart parking lot to be closer to town.
We have been at this campground for most of the summer. They've been so accommodating!! We've had to change and add dates due to repairs on our rigs and they always find room for us!! The grounds are clean and the owners are really nice! There's walking paths down by the river and it's quiet! It's convenient to the Lake Hallie ball fields and easy to get to areas around town. It's where the old Renaissance Festival used to be and many of the old buildings are still there in the back fields! Very cool to go back there and walk around! Will definitely be back next summer!
Website photos are very deceiving. The camping area is no where near the river -- you will definitely need to drive to it. And the photos you see of camping units among the pine trees are taken in the original section of the campground, mostly occupied now by seasonal units. If you come in for a weekend, you will be sandwiched in with your neighbor in an open field that was once an "overflow" area. No swimming area, no camp store other than ice and overpriced firewood. There is a nice playground for the kids, but no shade in it.
Nice campground about 20 minutes from downtown Eau Claire, 10 to the quaint downtown of Chippewa Falls. We were in an open site, pull through, our choice. Not many trees in this section but we had one. It’s considered a Buddy site but with the tree that other “buddy” rv would need to be small. Full hook up site, 50-30 amp. There are several Buddy sites where the campers can face each other. This is a real nice feature for family and friends. Playground and sand volley ball court is nice. There is a river walk but it’s switch back paths, sloping and steep coming back. We didn’t get to the river as it was still quite a ways down.
Great place to camp. Large spots and pretty quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful, as well as other campers.
Wow! My new favorite campground! We were in the trees section but they also have an open area. Full hook ups all over the place but also a tent only section. The bathrooms were always clean and they have the biggest showers I’ve ever run across. Two huge volleyball sand courts and playscapes for the kids. It was super quiet at night, I mean super quiet. Much appreciated and we will return again soon!
Awesome prices, great park, newer area, cute trees. Good staff. Quiet. Way cheaper than the other parks. I paid $550/mo for full hookups. 50a/30a/110v
Nice quiet place to stay. When I stay at a campground the cleanliness of the bathrooms is what I look at. The bathrooms at Eagle Ridge seemed older but we're well taken care of and clean would stay here again
Very clean and quiet campground. Not much for amenities but has all the basics with good customer service and well kept grounds.
