What a surprise this lake was. We headed up and found the lake very busy with families having an evening swim. But there was a great atmosphere and we found a table to have our dinner while we watched everyone having fun
I wasn't expecting to find such fantastic beach and picnic area . It just 10 min away from highway 5 and definitely worth it for lunch picnic and swimming or kayaking. There is a long pier for jumping in to lake, a washroom facility, a small playground, some picnic tables, a shelter and a gravel parking for about 30 cars. The water was warm in July and clear.
Clean lake and beach area. Kids and I had a great time swimming in this lake. We saw a turtle hanging out on a log. Beautiful bunch of lily pads. Worth spending the day at.
First time I have ever seen Lotus flowers in a BC Lake! The water is warm, parking is limited but very family-friendly!
A good stop to stretch your leg from Kamloops to Jasper. There’s a small playground and we’ll maintained washroom, and a calm and crystal clear lake to take some photos.
