Dust Jacket Books And Treasures

This store has a wide selection of used books, but the staff are the real treasures! Rachael and Samara were both so friendly and helpful. We just came in to browse and they had such a great collection that we walked out with a box of books! We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in Halifax.

Calling Dust Jacket a "rare book store" might be a stretch. It's a sleepy used book store hidden away in the food court of the Maritime Centre. The space is somewhat cramped despite the underwhelming selection. The store seems to prioritize history including an emphasis on Canadian history and its subfields and cheap paperback fiction, though there is an interesting poetry collection if you're willing to search on your hands and knees. I drop by this shop three or four times a year and find very little movement in their sections at the back of the store politics, philosophy, law, the "x, y, z studies" areas.

Great owner, great selection. We bought our Nova Scotia souvenirs here- some vibtage postcards and an old map of NS. Loved thos store, great vibe.

great book store with some hidden gems,very nice poetry section. Carry cash on you when you go, they don't have a fully functioning debit machine.

Very friendly staff. They went out of their way to make a trip to the bookstore a fun and educational time for my grandchildren. I highly recommend this place.

Owner is awesome but she has the store in a weird, hard to find location and no Star Wars novels

Great bookshop, now in a great location and open Saturdays. Found lots of bargains.

Decent prices on used books. Found what I was looking for one time and another I couldn't.
