Dungeness Bay Cottages

Very clean, quiet, well appointed kitchen. Beautiful view through picture window over the Strait and distant islands. Afforded a great view of the sunsets. Although there is a road between the cottage and water front there is so little traffic and the speed limit is 25 MPH You cannot hear anything in the accommodations. Even a very pleasant outlook from the kitchen and bedroom windows. Private access to water directly across the property. Just had four nights there and could have stayed longer if plans had permitted. Absolute winner.

We visit as frequently as possible, always a wonderful experience. I go down to the water's edge to watch for the kingfisher family and the bank swallows. I once saw a black oystercatcher on shore just a few yards away. And of course we look for the eagles and the Caspian terns from our window toward the bay. Many more birds on our walks. The cottages are immaculate and have everything you need. John and Karen are terrific hosts.

Dungeness Bay Cottages was a fantastic find when in Sequim. The host John and Karen are quite amazing and know of all the secret locations to see. They are Slow food people and really know their stuff. The cottages are right across the road to the beach. They have their own private access and no one was on the beach when we walked over. We could see ships going by, Mt. Baker and the Dungeness Lighthouse. We went out to the Lighthouse the next day which was quite the hike! They have picnic tables in the back field which where great to use for lunch one day. Highly recommended!
