^^^I am adding an update four months on. I have not used the starch since my last review and I'm actually afraid to even try. I guess I'll have to try one shirt and if it smells then I'll get it cleaned again without the starch that caused the smell. I suppose I owe it to myself to find out. I've added a star until I find out whether it was the starch or the water the caused that smell.

I was forced to find another dry cleaner because my previous location was shut down due to lease being up and unfortunately they didn't relocate. So I tried DryClean Depot based on reviews and location.
At first I was impressed with DryClean Depot, good turn around time and even has an email notification alert in place to let me know when my clothes are ready for pick up. Especially handy when I might need a shirt earlier than normal ... but ....within several weeks I became disappointed that my shirts would have creases, small ones at first, quite large ones now. The pleats on my sleeves around my cuffs have never been done right. Kind of embarrassing really to have awful creases next to attention drawing cuff links.
But the straw that broke the camel's back is the smell on the clothing. If I bring in garments and have them returned smelling ten times worst than when I bring them in, that's a problem. I had this problem two dry cleaners ago, he blamed it on the city water. Maybe they use well water or they reuse the same water over and over, it certainly smells this way. But for crying out loud install filtration systems. Don't return my clothes smelling like stale reused month old well water. Maybe it's the starch they use, I don't know so I'll try without starch.
I will use this location two more times. I admit it seems to be prominent when it's a hot day and last time the temperatures were in the high 80s. But summer is coming round the corner and this is going to be a problem.
It's a shame because the staff are very friendly, pricing is fair, turn around time with alerts and location would have made it a great local dry cleaner.

First and last time I will ever do business with them. Dropped off a suit coat on Wednesday to be dry cleaned and have one button resewn. Asked if it would be done by Friday. They said "no problem.".. Wedding is on Saturday. Guess who does not have their suit coat. ..

Best place to take your clothing

I'm a regular customer but like at other cleaners I've had some unhappy experiences. Like the time the buttons on my son's designer shirt some amazing type of way came up missing and were not found in the button box they have. Another time. of the three tuxedos I put in only one was cleaned. The other 2 still had icing on them. The ppl are mainly nice and polite enough. I've never had a problem in that regard. But checking your laundry is a part of a customers job. If unhappy let them know. If upset to anger leave them alone

Save yourself the headache.
Dry Clean Depot does not hold their locations to any standard.
Their Bloomfield hills location has no quality control, customer service or concern for customers clothing. There are a lot of alternatives for dry cleaning, any of them would be a better place for your clothing and money.
