The only reason I am giving this park any stars is because it used to be fantastic. Sadly, the original owner passed away over the winter and the new management is not even close to as good. The office administrative manager is the same and she is very good but there is no way she can compensate for the way the park is changing. The facilities are still great and for the most part so are the campers. Unfortunately I think the new management is more interested in money than customer service. I strongly advise anyone who is considering renting a seasonal site here to ask for a copy of every policy, especially the policies related to building decks and sunrooms, selling your trailer, and leaving the park, before making a commitment. If you don't you will be in for a nasty surprise. This is especially important for first-time seasonal campers. Because basically once you are in there you are at the mercy of the park management and their policies, which they can change at anytime without notice. This is not unique to this park, although I have spoken to people from other parks who where surprised by the degree of control at this park. Basically the problem is that because these parks are "private", they appear to be able to operate without accountability ability to anyone, even the local township bylaws.

My family has been going here for over 20 years and this park is one of the cleanest best run parks in Ontario. It is family friendly and quiet, if you are looking for a party park this is not the choice for you, if you are looking for a place of peace and relaxation in a beautiful natural setting then look no further, Driftwood Beach Park is home away from home!

Clear water, friendly well run campground. Very quiet often.
