Dr. Wadid Abadir

I was in & out in a reasonable amount of time. The Dr was not rushed. I was able to ask questions. The receptionist was friendly. I can see how challenging her job can be after sitting 10 minutes in the waiting room & listening to the patients. Some gave her incorrect information like their name & phone number, she had to repeat herself over & over again. By the end of the day she must be pretty drained. I read some negative reviews but I think much of that has to do with the patients themselves.

The doctor was patient in listening to my problems, he seemed to be very knowledgeable. The biggest problem though is to get to the doctor. The receptionist is very rude and this is so with most of the clinics I've been to. I've been asking for a review of my condition with the doctor since the past 5 weeks. Phone calls to the clinic are mostly not answered, voicemails are ignored and the very rare occassions that I've been able to speak to the receptionist they only told me that they will ask the doctor and call me to give me an appoinment, which has not happened in all these weeks. It takes numerous calls even to get a prescription passed on to my pharmacy and every time they blame it on the pharmacy. It is a shame on the system that a tax payer has to be at the mercy of a doctor's receptionist to get access to healthcare!

I had a terrible experience with this doctor. I was seeking a solution for my androgenetic alopecia female and the doctor seemed very rushed, and didn't properly diagnose me or discuss various treatment options and their side effects unless I asked, or suggested. The doctor also prescribed me a medication I was not comfortable taking so I asked for another appointment to discuss an alternative, and was turned away fired. Now I am left with no dermatologist, no solution and potentially months of waiting for a new doctor. If you are hoping for a good, long-standing relationship with your dermatologist, do not come here. You will not be listened to, turned away, and gaslighted. Receptionists were very misinformed, and the fact that the clinic is open three to four days a week means you will have to wait a long time to get a reply, so you have to keep calling back or they will forget about you. Doctor seems to overbook, so you only get a mere few minutes for your appointment, you don't feel like a priority. Stay away from this clinic and find a different dermatologist. The negative reviews speak for themselves. This experience has left me in tears.

Very intelligent, best dermatologist I have ever been to. He knows what he is doing and is very professional and skilled. He is patient and compassionate and will answer all your questions. I have never met a nicer doctor in my life, dead serious. I wish more doctors were like him. My entire family goes to Dr. Abadir and I recommend him to all my friends. I arrived early to my appointment this year and he saw me about 20 minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment, which was very nice. The secretaries are helpful on the phone as well. All of these 1 star ratings sound very fake to me, if you're smart you will disregard them.

Front desk receptionists are both Karens, literally the rudest people I've met, no respect for their patients whatsoever. I gave it a 4 star just because the doctor is nice.

My grandfather went to see him for a removal of some sort — he did the procedure without checking medication history. If he had, he would know that my grandfather was on a type of blood thinner so the area got infected post-op and wouldn’t stop bleeding which required an ER visit. Prognosis still unknown at time of review.

I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Dr Waded Abadir seems much more concerned with how much he can charge OHIP than he is helping patients. He instructed me to book visits whenever a skin symptom showed up. He forced a video appointment where he didn't even bother to look at the problem and just used the session to book me for an in-person visit. The in-person visit was done in 1 min without bothering to check on my health. On to the next paycheck! I mean patient.

Yes, I read the negative feedbacks before booking the appointment, but I was too dumb to still give a try with Dr Abadir and with his terrible stuff. I have 2 issues, he prescribed one medication for one issue and forgot the other one. I called couple of days later, the receptionist said will ask him, 5 DAYS later she sent me the new prescription. My face got a reaction from the new medication and I called to ask for dr’s opinion, the receptionist replied to me a week later and came with the wrong solution so I had to explain to her again the issue and then she got back to me few days later. I asked to talk yo the dr , she said you have to book an appointment and we can’t give you a direct connection to the dr without booking a new appointment!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously!!!!! What on earth is that?!!! I’m very upset with this clinic and it was really the worst experience EVER.

Dr. Wadid has helped me a lot throughout my skin journey the last 4 years that’s I’ve been seeing him. He’s very open to letting me try things that I have interest in but he always guides me the right way when it comes to products and medications that are best for me. The reviews surprise me as I find him to be attentive and he listens to my concerns and stays with me until we have finished. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because it’s become increasingly harder to see him. I assume he’s overloaded with patients but sometimes this office doesn’t want to give me an appointment and instead prescribed me medication over the phone when I would prefer to see him in person.
