Mission

Progress Centre Medical is family owned and operated by Brent Chan and Jane Lai.

Brent learned a lot during his years working for big pharmacy corporations in the USA and eventually moved back to Canada where he to owned and operated corporate franchise locations.

Jane has always believed in the multidisciplinary approach and encourages the complementary relationship between pharmacist and physician.

Together, they have over 16 years of experience.

Their focus as front-line health care professionals has always been on clinical care and enriching the lives of their patients.

Knowing that they could benefit the community by becoming the local neighbourhood health care professionals, they created Progress Centre Medical.

They look forward to serving you in achieving happy and healthy lives!

I recently visited this walk-in clinic and had an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and efficient. She took the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly explained my treatment options, and ensured I felt informed and cared for throughout the visit. Our go-to walk-in clinic! Progress Centre Medical is our place to go for any type of medical emergency if we are unable to get a hold of our family doctors. The doctors there are truly caring, especially Dr. Patrick Yoo. Some doctors are meant to be doctors, and he is definitely one of them. The care, attentiveness, and empathy he shows towards his patients is hard to see from many medical professionals, but we feel cared for every time we need to visit this clinic.nnThe wait times can be long, however it is worth the wait to see a doctor at this clinic. The pharmacy attached to this clinic makes it a bonus, given the fact that you can grab your medication before you walk-out of the clinic.
Dr Christopher Liu and his staff at the front desk and the pharmacist are phenomenal. Sometime you just need reassurance that you will be fine besides taking medication and Dr Liu and the pharmacist Brent Chan have been exceptional in their medical suggestions. Glad I came here :
This has been our family clinic for several years and we have come to trust and admire the professional staff and the very capable guidance of Dr. Christopher Lui who has watched over our wellbeing and of our 18-month-old daughter even before she was born.nnOn one of our visits, we met a dr. Jerry Leung. He is very knowledgeable in his practice. However, he lacks a certain demeanor that one would expect from a family doctor. We came to see him to see a facial bruise that our toddler sustained. We requested a doctor's note to confirm if it was indeed caused by physical trauma. There was an awkward exchange and dr. Jerry Leung abruptly left the room, leaving us baffled. It was the first time I saw a doctor walk out on patients. It was a very unusual experience. When I asked the clinic staff, they said dr. Leung's approach is quite different from the other doctors.nnOur message to dr. Jerry Leung is that we completely understand that working in a family clinic is hectic and oftentimes stressful. But you should consider that patients feel the same way- no one wants to visit the clinic sick or injured. I hope you choose a medical field that is more suited to your strengths, and let more compassionate and level-headed doctors deal with day-to-day patients.
Pharmacists Brent and Daniel are stellar! They are thorough, knowledgeable and will make sure you walk out the door understanding how to use the medication dispensed to you. Yes, wait times are usually long but that’s because they take the same care with every client. I cannot have enough good things to say about these two pharmacists.nnDoctor Lui is also thorough and show care towards his patients. I really appreciate that he will make phone consults as many doctors no longer provide this service.nnSpecial mention the nurses on staff. Thanks for having a gentle touch with needles and lollipops on hand.nnI should have wrote this review 3 years ago!
