If you are an OHP client steer clear or if you dare to ask a question of Dr. Higbee he will ban you from the clinic. The other dentist that was filling in stated he thought she needed a root canal but he wanted to wait until Dr. Higbee came back from vacation to do it. When Dr. Higbee was her 3 weeks later he said he didn't know if she needed the root canal or just a cavity until he drilled. After a minute of drilling he stated it was a cavity and he she would need to go under for a root canal so he was filling it. She was doing very well and cooperating even the assistant commented on it. But he drilled and filled my daughter's cavity in less than 5 minutes. When asked if he got all the cavity he responded he didn't know. I asked again how I can know if he got it all and he responded "it will get worse" and walked out of the room. I asked the assistant who became defensive that I would even ask such questions. Well when you have a daughter with a disability you ask the questions for her. Her other Doctors have not ever seemed defensive or upset when asked about procedures or questioning what they have done they just answer my questions. When I called back two days later to say she was having pain I was informed my daughter was no longer a patient. Funny because any Dr. who feels his work was good should not mind answering questions I feel if you dismiss someone who has a question you must know you did not do a very good job. In all the times I have had a cavity filled it has never been done start to finish in 5 minutes. So now we will find a dentist who is not afraid to answer questions from a mother and is proud of his work. Update: Went to a knowledgeable, competent dentist who did xrays and said she had not only needed a root canal but had a bad infection. Thanks arrogant Dr. Higbee for being incompetent and uncaring. Actually you did us a favor because now she will have a good dentist, and one that is not offended by asking questions. Again I reiterate if you can't answer a patients questions you must know you have not done well (incompetence), so you become defensive and dismiss the patient from your practice which tells me you are poor reflection of your profession or just so arrogant that it affects your work. Either way we are lucky now to find a dentist who actually can read an xray and examine a tooth correctly.

Heather, who is the account manager is a b-tch. They charge you for dental work, which was not preformed to financially milk the dental insurance & the patient. Very dishonest, manipulative & greedy.

Professional, make you feel comfortable, which isn't easy at a dental office. Always find a way to squeeze me in.
