I was very impressed by Dr Salahuddin. She took her time with me explaining my test results, very detailed, patient. I felt like I had a caring knowledgeable partner in helping me toward dealing with my health issues.

I started seeing Dr. Salahuddin a few years ago for my thyroid condition. While she is experienced in her field, her "bedside manner" is awful. She is condescending and judgmental. I found her to be quite rude. My husband was referred to her by his doctor recently, and I warned him about her attitude. She questioned how he was diagnosed and referred to her, and was personally insulting toward him.
I really think she dislikes anyone who has any kind of weight problem. She is not a supportive care provider at all. Unfortunate that experienced doctors have to be so arrogant. With limited options in our area, I guess I will continue seeing her...

I've been one of Dr. Salahuddin's patients for a decade, and I will vouch for her professionalism, compassion, surpassing competence and always helpful insights in helping me to manage my diabetes successfully.
She typically is accessible personally or through her nurse to answer my concerns if I need relatively quick responses, and Dr. Salahuddin never approaches my visits with a stopwatch in hand.
I agree completely with the comments articulated by "Google User."

Dr. Salahuddin is very unprofessional when it comes to talking with her patients. I have struggled with weight my entire life and when she saw me for the first time, she stereotyped me into just another fat person who eat McDonalds. I was so upset. Then, when asking her about scheduling test to see what was wrong with me, she said NO. I could not believe it. She chalked up the symptoms that i was experiencing because of my weight. Many other doctors questioned my appearance and was concerned i had an autoimmune disease, so they referred me to her. She did not listen to me, and it felt as though she did not want to help me because of my weight. So then she said loose weight and I will see you in three months!!! I WILL NEVER go back and see her. If you want a doctor that will help you and truly listen to you then DR. salahuddin IS NOT FOR YOU!!!!!

Dr. Salahuddin has been my endocrinologist for more than six years. Her advice, counsel, personal and professional manner have always been excellent. I would recommend her to any diabetic seriously committed to managing their disease. As an insulin-dependent diabetic, I don't make such recommendations lightly, and I have made several. All but one told me they, too, hold Dr. Salahuddin in high regard, finding, as I did, that she spends quality time with her patients and isn't a clock watcher rushing us in and out.
A note of caution to those who read anything goes physician reviews: Take what you read with a grain of salt. Often, patients who aren't compliant in their treatment blame the doctors for their own lack of responsibility in their health care.
That being said, before you trust your diabetic care solely to a family physician, you'd do well to include an endocrinologist on your diabetes team. For my money, and it is my money, Dr. Salahuddin has more than filled the bill as a top notch endocrinologist.
