Dr. Dumper Jaymi

So my wife saw dumper for a consult, after acute sinus pain, he sent her away with a steroid spray and said it will all be fine. 3 years later after years of headaches and her face was swollen. We saw a private doctor who recommended a CT scan immediately. Ended up being a large cyst that had consumed part of her jaw and she had to have 3 teeth removed. Had he taken the issue seriously and not been immediately dismissive the years of pain and disfigurement would of not been an issue. I would recommend finding any other ENT.

Had a great experience with Dr.Dumper. He was able to diagnose me when so many other specialist could not.

My wife had an appointment with this doctor and I joined her. I had been having problems with a hole through my septum and it wasn’t healing. He was not happy that I had joined my wife but had a quick look anyway. After examining my septum he stated , you have a hole right through but it did not look like a problem and should heal over in awhile. I felt good about it During a dental appointment my dentist advised me to get it check again with Dr Dumper and he wanted him to book a CT scan. I made the appointment with Dumper again and he stated again it did not look to be too bad. My dentist had also sent him extensive X-rays. Dr Dumper made a CT scan but not high priority as my dentist suggested..he knew something wasn’t right as I was getting soft patches on my pallet. This took a period of 5 months. I then saw a dental surgeon who took a biopsy immediately. Sure enough I was diagnosed with clavical cancer. The speed of things turned up immediately. Here I sit in a hospital in Victoria after my clavical and septum were removed and rebuilt. Horrendous operation that near killed me and a long recovery ahead. This man sluffed me off continuously with his arrogance and lack of knowledge..I will never see him again! Just hope I live a decent life now.

Very dismissive and condescending. Dealing with chronic vertigo/dizziness and he minimized my debilitating condition by claiming I was "choosing to overreact" and even went so far as to compare it to my "cycle" and being unreasonable and insisted I push myself to the point of nausea and that my brain would "adjust". Zero empathy. Other medical professionals I spoke to about his advice agree that it's ridiculous. Left me frustrated and unheard.

Unimpressed with this man on my first visit. Then when my doctor requested a follow up appointment it waited for his office to book the appointment. Still waiting for their call and it has been two months and they haven’t even called to make a appointment. I have heard that he gives all ear problems the same treatment....a nasal spray for everyone then come again. One star out of ten is my rating for this man!

We met Dr Dumper for the first time yesterday and he was lovely! Very patient and understanding of my concerns. He had a student with him and he did a great job balancing talking to us and teaching her! We are very pleased with his professionalism :

Dr Dumper gave me a septoplasty and turbinate reduction. I have to say he is one of the best ENT's in Nanaimo. Not only did he fix one of the most complicated and worst broken septums in my nose, but he did it in forty minutes. Great job and would highly recommend.

Amazing doctor! Found him by happenstance from an urgent care doctor who is his personal friend and requested he see me. Dr Dumper is my fourth ENT and is determined to find a diagnosis. All previous ENT's have taken a look shook there head and shrugged their shoulders not taken the time to get to the bottom of the problem. Dr, Dumper's staff have always fit me in when things flare up so he can see what is happening with his own eyes helping in diagnosis. Dr. Dumper is efficient and always on time. I have never waited more than five minutes usually just about walking right in. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and smiling! ******THIS OFfICE can be hard to find, it is on the East side of the Old Island Highway between Terminal Park Mall and Brookslanding Mall sharing the BCGEU building. Get in the right lane at Terminal Park at it is on the right just past Terminal Park Mall. The office is just before where the left hand turning lane off the highway is but he is on the RIGHT.

Was dismissed by the Dr. as being difficult because he could not diagnose me. I had to advocate for myself and found the problem was just as I suspected. Cervical forminal stenosis causing the sounds and pain in my ears. Middle aged women beware!

BEWARE !!! Unbelievably unprofessional staff. I watched my GP make a referral & the receptionist lied & said she never received it in a condescending & rude manner. I've never complained about medical service before, but this was the worst experience I have had with the health industry.
