It is quite a long hike to get to an area that is not that large or with very good views. I would recommend to continue in to Bachelor meadows or Cub lake which are beautiful. But that hike is very gnarly! Bushwhack and find your way the whole time. But worth it.

This is the exit parking lot for Ptarmigan Traverse, or the beginning of a heavenly to hellish forest approach to Cub Lake and Dome Peak.
