Our Advocacy
Douglas C.A.R.E.S. is a private non-profit started in 1994 for the purpose of treating children who have been physically or sexually abused neglected. C.A.R.E.S. is the only Child Advocacy Center in Douglas County and is the first point of entry for children and families of abuse. We provides Forensic Interviews, Medical Examinations (children receive a full well-child checkup that includes psycho-social and motor skills assessments) and Counseling for Children, Families and Victim Parents. All of C.A.R.E.S.’ services are provided at NO CHARGE to the families.
