Delicious and airy, fried doughnuts. As great should be! We came in almost at closing time and they were still super fresh. You can tell they care about their doughnuts. These are not your common "cakey" doughnuts. These are proper ones. Service is nice and welcoming as well as the establishment. Best doughnuts in Gatineau/Ottawa for sure!!
Ok so I'm from a city with to many good donut shops. And every city I go to I find the best donut shop. And these guys are literally my 2nd favorite. And that's probably out of like 30 shops across Canada. But there flavours are unmatched. The hardest thing about a good donut shop, is the DOUGH usually it's normal dough with gimmicky toppings like "oh wow you put an oreo on a donut WOW did someone resurrect Julia Childs heavy sarcasm" but I could eat the dough alone here it was sooooo Goooood. The topping were not just icing with a ton of sugar but so flavour full. Yeah I know I can believe someone is writing an essay about donuts either but I'm telling you they were that good. We had the strawberry cheesecake thank you for not making it cherry the filling was perfect a perfectly tart this coming from somone who hates tart complimented by the not over sweetened cream cheese frosting. Also the maple walnut, the Bueno and sugar twist all 10/10. Skip maverick and Suzy Q which were both lame, I don't even know how there ratings were high YUCK! Don't miss this place it's amazing. Get there before eveyone else finds out about it. And to the owners THANK YOU! Awesome staff good coffee good eats!
One of the best donut places in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. They have the classic flavours but also some very unique ones. My go to donut place in the area.
Beautiful place, fresh food, large portions for a coffee shop and delicious coffee. Loved it!
Just stopped in for a coffee and treat. Had a cinnamon bun and twist. Both were excellent! Coffee is local from Happy Goat. Definitely worth a short hop to the burbs to try it out!
Such a great vibe, staff was super nice and spoke English with me which I appreciated. Doughnuts were delicious as was the oat latte. I'll be back!
The tea and espresso based drinks are ok there used to be baristas who took the time to properly steam and texture the milk rather than just heat it up. Doughnuts are great if you managed to get them fresh out of the oven, else they get stale pretty quickly. Other pro is that they're never oily/greasy. The yeasty dough they use is great, and they're good at balancing the flavours, most of their doughnuts aren't too sweet. Staff is friendly and polite, there's games available for people who's want to linger some. There's room for improvement, sure, but I go once in a while since there's so few indie shops like this in the east end of the Plateau and I'd rather give them my money than McD.
Very trendy little donut shop, with an interesting assortment of donut flavours. We especially enjoyed the milk and cookies donut and the chocolate one can’t remember the names they were called in the store. They were definitely tasty, but not as fresh as I would have hoped. It was more of a dense donut than I expected. Not as good as Suzy Q, but I’d rank them better than Mavericks. Will likely return again!
Fun, different and dough-y style donuts! Several types available: Elvis has banana and bacon, try the passion fruit and coconut, cheesecake, blue raspberry and cotton candy, cookies and cream, snap crack pop rice crispies, chocolate and marshmallows, etc. 3$/donut, 12$ for a box of 4, 18$ a box of 6 Coffee espresso machine also available 4-5$/ latte Cold drinks also available For Covid, they have benches outside the store. Lines are marked on the floor for respecting social distancing. Hand sanitizer available on site. Staff isn't wearing masks although handling food that isn't reheated at home. It would look much better if masks could be worn and measures would be taken from barista eg gloveless with full hand over milk pitcher.
This is a brand new local coffee shop in the Plateau area. They have delicious gourmet donuts and good coffee, provided by the Happy Goat Co., as well as David’s tea. Great look and feel, friendly staff. Loved the size of the donuts, just right! I will come back for the macaroons!
