Established in 2001, the Double Shot improved the original 1938 spudnut potato doughnut recipe using freshly smashed potatoes without using any potato flour. We craft spudnuts, donuts, muffins, cookies, cupcakes, & decorated cakes in our own on-site bakery; fresh coffees made from coffee beans we roast in our own roaster; refreshing beverages including hot teas, iced tea, iced coffees, decaf, frozen hot chocolate, Italian sodas, Steamers, & smoothies; as well as Death-by-Chocolate, our special Double Shot hot chocolate... and more.
The Double Shot cafe & bakery, 216 east Cedar St., is near Fred Meyers & the Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store, just around the corner of Yellowstone Ave. The iconic Double Shot Hut, 180 Jefferson Ave. near Oak St., features two drive-up windows, select delights from our bakery, fresh brewed Double Shot coffee, iced coffees, hot chocolate, & fast, smiling, friendly service.

Double Shot's recipe uses only enough gluten-containing flour to help our spudnuts hold their shape. Our bakers are working on a GF recipe.
We make every effort to avoid nuts unnecessarily getting into our mix: Nuts are used to top some selections and are contained within others.
