Loved it here! Went for a birthday celebration and noted it on the reservation and they didn’t disappoint! The smash burger is absolutely phenomenal and would recommend though and through. Cool atmosphere with great service. Wish the prices were a bit lower $15 for just the burger but in this economy it’s normal. Wish they had beer on tap/a wider selection of beer, but they had an amazing liquor selection! Very cool vibes - make a reservation and go a bit later in the evening!

Do they call it a smash burger because of the way it's cooked or because of how you smash it in your mouth from how good it is? In any case, this one is both. For being relatively new ish it is decorated as an old neighbourhood dive bar. Playing alternative rock, showing sports mostly football right now, pool table, the decor overall, graffiti all over the entrance wall... This place is a vibe. But the real star of the show for us was the Michigan Oliive Burger. We were told why it's called that but tbh.. we forgot. But nonetheless it is wonderful. Very large, and yet we kinda wanted another one. Juicy, moist, just the right amount of light bread, lovely sauce and did we say... Very large? It's worth visiting for this burger alone.

All style, zero substance. After all the hype, i decided to try Double’s. Having Danny Smiles behind the kitchen, expected elevated bar food at the very least, but even that expectation wasn’t met. The “famous” burger, shouldn’t be so famous. Underseasoned, cold and a small portion for 15$, without any fries or anything. Ive made better burgers in my backyard. The Caesar salad was bland and uninspired, a ripoff at 15$ as well. Fries were frozen fries, not even hand cut and charging 8$ for a portion. Beers are overpriced and no draft. American-style bar without draft? What? Service was good, however the recommended items really were not great at all. Everything we had on the menu was boring, and had no uniqueness to it, and can be made at home better. Overall, everything we had was unexciting, and the group we were with were shocked how Danny Smiles could put their name on such basic and bland food. Save your money, skip the hype and go somewhere else with better drinks, food and atmosphere, because unfortunately this place has none of it done right.

For such a recent establishment, this place exudes nostalgia and humble warmth. The food is not pretentious and still maintains a deliciousness you would be hard pressed to find in another pub. Whether you want to have a brew after a long shift, or simply a good conversation with the perfectly lit ambiance, look no further… Doubles is the place.

Only been opened a few weeks but already in the running for one of the better burgers in Montreal. Fun ambiance, good place to catch a game.

I was hesitant to go here as it felt like somewhere that could have easily been overhyped but I have never been so wrong. This was, hands down, the BEST BURGER OF MY LIFE. I truly cannot express how good it was, just go try it and see for yourself. The restaurant itself has an unassuming exterior and the inside is dark and has the feel of a dive bar. It’s intentionally decorated to give this feel while still been clean and cosy. Service was great, cocktails really good. On the more expensive side overall but I would gladly pay for the quality. Looking forward to trying more of their food options, this chef is amazing!

Always a great experience when visiting doubles! Staff is on point, food is exceptional, ambiance is fun & cozy! I’ve been going since it opened and will forever be returning! Keep at it guys! Great addition to the food scene in montreal!

What a pretentious dump! Owner cook is an arrogant self absorbed piece of s….. Refused to serve me a burger without mayonnaise. I’m intolerant. Told me to eat elsewhere. Go to hell. You will bankrupt within a year. Good luck
