Dosa Rama

Wanted to give 3.5 star, but unfortunately that's not an option. As a regular south Indian food consumer and having tried most of the Dosa places in Toronto, this is not a place that I would recommend for a 'must visit'. The place is not bad and got lot of areas to improve. They have the potential!

Not a paid review ... ***** This is now called India Twist ***** I was looking for a dosa place nearby when we were in Markham. And Google said , dosa rama. I knew it was closed permanently, so was curious to call. When I called to my surprise the person on the other side said India Twist. Good : Food is great. We tried mango Lassi and sweet Lassi, they are good. We also had Masala Onion Dosa and Rava Onion Dosa. They are good as well. Can improve: Customer service needs a little improvement. Overall it's a good place to dine in or takeout.

We have ordered Ghee roast masala dosa, spinach dosa and mendu vada. The service was very poor the food was cold and tasteless. Never had tasted such awful sambhar till now. On top of it had to wait for so long on a regular day which made it even worse. If there was a half star or zero rating option would have give that.

The craving for hot dosa with chutney was spoiled by cold chutneys and the dish was not warm enough even after requesting to make it warm. The restaurant was not well lit and the dark ambience made the dining experience unpleasant. There was also unpleasant smell from kitchen. Hope this is goes as feedback for improvement . Had to say,the Dosa was good though.

I really do not know what to say about the food. Bland, no taste at all. Sambhar wasn’t sambhar it was more like water with lentils with no taste. We were so exited to eat the South Indian breakfast after a long time but the whole excitement was over after the 1st bite. We finished the food somehow because we didn’t wanted to waste the food. Do not recommend this place nor I am returning back. It wasn’t a worth experience 0/10.

Ordered for pick up on uber eats at 2:25pm. It said it would be ready in 15-20 mins. It's nearly half an hour now and my order is still showing it will take more 20mins. The order was a very small order of 1 curry which I guess is already ready since they make in bulk everyday and 2pulkas.Service: 1/5

Excellent.. we ordered rava masala and the huge paper dosa... loved the service also. The goat pepper was also nice . Will be back for sure.. maybe will drive specially from missuaga to Scarborough for the paper dosa

Absolutely smashing!!! We went to 2 places before we ended up here ! One had a huge line up ! The other one didnt do In dining! Took a chance with this place as we hadnt been before, but it was amazing! Not only did i get a humongous dosa the likes of which i have never yet seen!!!! But my server was very informative and extremly pleasant and welcoming! Made our lunch very pleasant and comfortable ! Dosa was very tasty with just the right amount of chilli!!! The virgin mojito we had with our meal was delicious !!! I consider myself a huge food critic‍ So when i say this place and the service with the same girl we got served with!!! was beyond my expectations by far .. Cant wait to have my next dosa craving cos now i know exactly where to go and... what to order hats off to the chef for my amazing paper dosa! Thanku

Dosa is not bad. The potato and the ghee dosa are good. The sambar and chutneys are so so. 2 stars for the potato dosa. They took quite a long time for the takeout order. Dosa doesnt take that long to cook. But anyways it was not bad. Might try other dishes.

Love Dosa Rama! I like this restaurant because I love South Indian food, specially paneer dosa, masala dosa, gun powder and kuthu roti. As compare to other place they have less oily food and crunchy dosa's. Thanks ... I really like the place but if you order for take out, they always add less sambar. So, going to reduce one star.
