Great old timey breakfast diner. This is the type of gem people look for when they go to a small town. Donna was the only one working as her staff seemed to all have abandoned her due to Columbus Day but even with a packed restaurant she was able to see us and serve us in decent time. The coffee was great, the food was great. At one point one of the regulars looked like an old friend ended up picking up the coffee pot and going around helping out. Donna herself was a little bit gruff but I think the stress of the situation was the cause. She took our order accurately and the price of the food was an incredible deal. $16 for full breakfast for 2 people. You can't get 1 plate for that price in other places. She got a big tip. Go visit!
Best breakfast on the NYS Southern-tier. Stop here on your way from Rochester/Syracuse/Buffalo to PA. Open until 11AM. CASH only. Cozy atmosphere. Good food.Recommended dishesTwo Eggs Ham and Ryetoast, Oatmeal Breakfast
Nice little place tucked in old downtown. Food was good, the owner sweet lady who loves her Pyrex!Recommended dishesFrench Toast
Most of the comments are true. But even me that I am a foreign person living here, I felt welcomed there. Also I think Donna is a nice lady. Coffee is sometimes too light but it is ok. Food is like eating at home. I liked it.Food: 3/5
Do not come here to eat unless you don’t care about bare hands touching your food ! The owner caught an attitude after clarifying my order with her and touched her bare hands with my food ! If you are a POC I wouldn’t recommend eating here . I was starred down the entire time and the owner was only hostile towards me. I will not return ever again
Donna's is a bright spot in the area. There is nothing more inviting than a family style restaurant. That is something that we are unfortunately losing in our society.Food: 5/5
Had a great experience, Donna herself was our waitress. Very friendly, food was great! And let me tell you. YOU CANNOT BEAT THE PRICE
Donna's has been a staple in Corning for a long time. It wasn't until a couple years ago when I started frequenting it that I found out why. It's good home cooked food, Donna's great to have a conversation with. The decor is really vintage with all the Pyrex wear. Prices are amazingly good. The best is the desserts, they are all made in house by Don and her staff. Amazing peanut butter pie, and crazy incredible cinnamon buns.
Good spot if you’re driving through! Decent coffee & good vibe. We just missed the breakfast menu... lunch menu was a bit average so we got the hotdogs. They were ok, nothing special. Everyone looked happy with their burgers - maybe that’s the way to go!! There didn’t seem like a huge selection for food in the street but we were only driving through
Loved it! Great 50’s / 60’s vibe going on at Donna’s. We had a great time looking at Donna’s wonderful collection of Pyrex dishes, bowls, coffee percolators. It was fun locating gramma’s teapot & other items from our past. Food was delish! Great service, great food, great pricing! We even had a chance to visit with Donna. Great lady! We will definitely stop by again when in Corning! Breakfast for 5 was only $32!
