Donair Dude

Ate here for the first time and fufilled all of my cravings, had the donair poutine which was delicious and was served a large portion! My partner got the chicken rice bowl which had a nice balance of everything, we actually ended up switching meals since I enjoy the variety. The owner of the store was very friendly and we had a nice chat. For their portions and for vancouver prices, I would say they are reasonably priced. Would eat again!

Food quality excellent. I had a donair and my partner had the chicken donair rice platter. Again, quality very good. Tasted great. That said, very little donair meat in the donair actually, very disappointing. Way more Pita wrapped twice and I’d actually call it a Panini - not a true Donair. Not being critical - just not at all what I expected, especially given the price point.

I order from this place on DoorDash every now and then. I always get either a beef poutine or a chicken poutine. Their food is good and the meat is always super tasty - good big portions too. The problem: If I don't order and pay for extra sauce, they don't include any sauce at all which is a listed ingredient. Last time I ordered a beef poutine with extra sauce and received a poutine with extra sauce, with no beef. Today I ordered a chicken poutine and it arrived without chicken. Please make it make sense. The food is good so I keep taking the chance and ordering delivery but the staff need to work on order accuracy. It's not a one-off - it's happened several times.

This place was my first choice for donair until today, I was there today to buy donair. The price gone up , however the quality and portion has been significantly reduced. I don’t recommend it to anybody.

I didn't like the wrap, it was so cold and the toppings were at one side of it and other side was falafel, doesn't make any sense . Will not recommend

When I was busy near Davie Street and it was time for a dinner, I had appetite for something like a donair. Since I wanted to try a new restaurant I went to the “Donair Dude”. I ordered a regular Chicken Pita with feta cheese. Since I was open to try something different and the very friendly server recommended a special dressing that was obviously influence by the Asian culture of the owner or servers, I took that sauce. It was pretty good – different but tasty. I also like the fact that the filled the meat and veggies into a double pita bread pocket and toasted it afterwards. I do not recommend eating a falafel pita: The falafel was just heated in the microwave. The taste suffered from it significantly. Additionally, the pita was just grilled once instead of twice which let the inner parts cold. However, I still that I can recommend this place since it is still one of the best donair places I have visited in the Greater Vancouver Area. 3.5 out of 5

Very bad chard dry chicken donair and platter - vegetables soggy and old - spent $40 not satisfied at all - threw the food into garbage bin ... staff rude and unprofessional not willing to accommodate to dietary restrictions when asked to shave moist and fresh from the fire stand and not chard and dry donair from the warmer - overall terrible waste of money and resources ...

The lady who takes the order took the order very quickly and treated us as if we knew everything. We didn't like her attitude. For this reason, I will not go there again. But the food is delicious.

Always been regular there and leave a tip. A few days ago I found a long hair in my donair. Today the guy wanted to give me a donair that was falling a part and just because a made a comment he offered me to make a new one. The new one was most discussing with no taste, half veggies and meet donair. I will never come back there again. Bye Bye. 13/October/2022 2:00pm BC Lions hat

Very cold falafel. I then went back to have another one made. After three bites, I had to throw the wrap out as the tomatoes were rotten. I then called in to let them know and was apologized to; however, after paying $15 plus tip, it was a waste of time and money. Time to go get Tums for stomach ache.
