Donair Dude

Just had Donair Dude for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised how large it was! This location wasn't too busy when I went, and it was fairly clean. I ordered for takeout because I am a messy eater and wanted to devour this baby at home in my underwear.

I went here first time and let me tell you about my experience. The employee who helped me Anmol is a very diligent and sharp woman. She guided me through my options as a first time buyer and my only complaint is the food little bit expensive but the quality is there. Everything was properly done and put in nice packaging. If I could give feedback to restaurant it would be give her a raise because this late everyone usually tired and hungry but she treated me like first employee of day. Your food if you're at subway or subway is only as good as the person that makes it for you. Most fast food employees don't care and rush to go home. Good experience here. Try it out.

I ordered chicken platter. It was amazing. Customer service was good as they explained everything properly. Packaging was amazing. The best part is that they’re open till 2 am. Definitely recommend it to everyone.Recommended dishesChicken Pita Donair, Sauces

Tonight was the final straw for us. First they get rid of the garlic paste we loved the garlic paste and no it’s not the same as the sauce but we dealt with it because we loved everything else. We have eaten here many many times since this location opened and the food was always fresh, delicious and always looked appetizing. We’ve never even so much as considered finding an alternative closer to home however, tonight’s visit has changed all that for us and we will now be looking for our new favourite donair restaurant. There was no lettuce, but they did offer cabbage as a replacement romaine instead of iceberg maybe… but cabbage? The lamb is no longer shaved off a rotisserie but rather scooped out of a metal container that somewhat resembled crumbled up ground beef maybe? it looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Then there’s the french fries…who wraps french fries in an aluminum foil bag? Do they not know what happens when you put hot crispy french fries in an aluminum foil bag to steam? That’s right… you get soggy french fries! Who wants soggy fries? So long Donair Dude! Sorry to have to cut it short like this but it was good while it lasted!

I visited this Donair Dude location first time for take away. The staff is really friendly staff and provide great service. Love the large food portion size. The order was nicely packed and wrapped. Highly recommended!

Ordered Beef plate to go -Rock hard pita -Dried beef donair meat -Stale hummus -Salad was okay but extremely -small portion for a platter wrap gets more salad on it

Poorly wrapped pita is always broken and leaking. Very messy. Do not recommend.

First time customer and it is the best donair I’ve had ever living in BC! The lamb pita donair was exactly what I was craving. I thought the Dolmades would be warm when I got them I’ve only ever had warm ones but they come cold - just a tip for people ordering. 10/10 will be returning. And a forever customer

So disappointed, used to be my go to place for a healthy , quick meal. They've completely changed the menu, they got rid of the donair salads, changed the beef, it's not even donair beef anymore. It's more like a chewy roast beef, even the garlic sauce and sweet sauce has changed. It's basically mayonnaise. I hope the rest of the donair dude's franchise didn't completely change.
