Don Oso's

I came here for the first time last night with my boyfriend and we had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic - we both ordered the chimichanga and it was so flavourful and delicious. The drinks were great too. There was a gentleman singing and playing music who took song requests from the customers - he was so talented. Our server was kind and brought our drinks/food out quickly. Overall the vibes were great and I can't wait to go back again!

Awesome atmosphere, great tunes, super fun live music, and tasty food. I had a taco salad and my friend had the chimichanga. Only complaint, woulda loved more salsa and guac only got about 2 tablespoons. Other than that, was a wonderful dinner. The Mexican Bellini was impressive. In comparison the Margherita was fairly basic.

Best service on the drive! Very sweet sweet staff. Eve served us, as well as another guy and they were super fantastic! The food is just what you'll find in Southern California/Mexican food and tacos. Delicious!

Thé live music on a Thursday night drew us in! Server was very sweet. Food was yummy! Had the vegetarian quesadillas, pescado, & chicken chimichanga. The fish was done well and chicken very tasty! Will be back!

Authentic Mexican style. We had the chimichanga, enchilada, the wings and ceviche. Great flavours, super friendly servers. Fun atmosphere. Would recommend if you’re looking for Mexican food in the area. We’re used to going to the smaller OG shop on Hastings in North Burnaby - but the full restaurant was a nice change of pace. More choices here as well.

Live music made the atmosphere lots of fun. The food was good. The drinks were okay. The service was fairly slow and inconsistent. Still a good mexican spot for a good time if you're comfortable with the wait.Food: 4/5

I've been to their Hastings location so I've been super excited to try the commercial location and I finally had the chance! I love the decor in the restaurant, its super cute and the staff were so friendly! It surprised me when they gave us tortilla chips and salsa to start out with! Ive never been to a Mexican restaurant that did that as a complimentary, I think that was a really nice touch and the chips were so good!!. We ordered the quesabirria tacos and the huevos rancheros from the brunch menu. Both were really good, the tacos were super stuffed with meat and the cheese, they were perfect! The tortilla on the huevos rancheros was super crispy and the carne asada bites were really flavorful. Definitely enjoyed my meal!

Don Oso’s restaurant is a great place to visit, eat great food, celebrate special occasions, have a great time and also some dancing great Latin music. Our favourite place to go for Mexican food, I definitely recommend it.

Took the family for Mexican on Saturday and found Don Oso's on Commercial. Great find. Place is very lively with entertainment. A one man band. Can be a bit loud but great atmosphere still. Staff are very friendly and food is great. One of the best "Mexican" restaurants in Vancouver. Portions and price are very easy on the wallet. We had their nachos, Burrito big enough fir 2, Quesabirria Taco, Fish Taco, Taco Saladand Barros Luco I believe. All were very tasty! Drinks were great too. We'll definitely be back!

Authentic Mexican food fare, through and through, from decor to music and authentic Mexican dishes. Loved it! Only downside was no air conditioning and because of the lack of servers, everywhere, wait time was uncomfortably hot. And my virgin marguerita, almost $10! So definitely overpriced for a non alcoholic drink drink picture was the Mexican belini, not my virgin marguerita We ordered Camerones spicy shrimp dish and quesabirro tacos Mexican version of beef dip. Hmm hmm good! Definitely recommend this place! Just make sure to ask about drinks not on the menu, so you aren't shocked when you get the bill.
