Possibly the most respectable lunch option in Welland. Using the veal sandwich as a benchmark, the food was excellent and the service was fast and painless. I would definitely go back on a day when I missed breakfast and was really hungry at lunch!
What can I say? A great family italian restaurant. The sauces are homemade and delicious. Try the rice balls. Housemade and outstanding. It is great to see such pride of ownership. A small place so you may want to call ahead to book a table. They are always packed.
My wife and I love this restaurant. We try to come at least once a month and we've been doing that since they opened. We really enjoy their food, the taste is just so incredible. The waitresses are absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is perfect. You don't have to drive out of Welland to get good food. Don Marcos! No relation just coincidentally the same first name.
I chose to eat here based on which seems to be good reviews. It was reasonably priced. And the food looked great. I placed an order for pick up. I went there to pick up my order. The total after paying seemed quite high. But I accepted it. When I got to the car I realized that I had overpaid by $30.I was told that it was my fault because I chose the tip amount. Which coincidentally was a minimum of 15% on your debit machine for pick up. I didn’t even have any service. then when I showed her my pick up order receipt. And had to prove that I paid extra Her response to me was that “I should’ve noticed”. Implying that it was my fault that I didn’t catch her mistake before she processed it.I apologized which I should not have. When I went inside to have it corrected, she along with the server behind the bar seemed hostile and angry. All the while my foods sat steaming in the car. I was given an attitude as to how I would receive my money back. I wrote a review based on this. But I took it down until I just received a response saying that it’s bound to happen and that they were overwhelmed. No attempt to reconcile anything by the management of the office who turns out to be the person that made the mistakes and was very rude to me. Are hands-down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Luckily the restaurant has unbelievable chefs and even though the food turned to mush it still tasted fantastic. Do not expect good or professional customer service at this restaurant though. It’s the job of a restaurant manager to be the face of that business take pride in what they do and respect the customer and also restaurant that they work for. All emotions and personal problems should be put aside to treat the customer the way that they should be treated at all times. I’m sure they will be reply to this as all of the other negative reviews that I have seen here with an excuse not Admitting fault for actions.. if you read them you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about in the responses.
I had a lovely server Easton on last Wednesday evening for the date night menu. This was our first time here. We will definitely be back. She was super friendly and made sure she took her free time to chat with us witch we love and she was fast and efficient The food was excellent and good atmosphere. GOOD PRICES TO!!!!!!
The best Italian restaurant in ALL of Niagara. Their staff, the service, the FOOD are all so amazing and truly perfect. I now live far away but stop in sometimes for their amazing handmade and homemade Lasagna, gnocchi, their delicious carbonara’s. To this day I still have not found a better place than Don Marcos, not even one to coming close. If you are ever in Niagara, Welland or the area this is truly the place to go! I’d give 10 stars if could.
First time visiting and will go back again. Good quality food, veal was fresh and thick an a fresh crusty bun, fresh cut fries were a welcomed surprise. Very refreshing to buy out food the seems more home cooked.
Had a really good meal. Good portions and definitely home made food. Arancini needed a bit more "oomph" to the rice but the coating and sauce were delicious. Was very busy and as others have said it was quite loud but that made for a nice homey feeling. Our waitress was very nice and had a good sense of humour. Great service.
Food was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend ordered the lobster stuffed ravioli and I had the surf and turf steak. Absolutely everything from the plate placement to taste was A+, however both my girlfriend and I woke up the next morning and spent 11 hours hospitalized from food poisoning. The food was amazing, just probably got cross contaminated with something.
Food was delicious and fresh, truly authentic Italian! Our server was super friendly and attentive which made our experience that more pleasant. Tiramisu is homemade and to die for! Will definitely be coming back next time we are in town!
