We chose this restaurant for our 5th Anniversary and we didn't regret at all! We got an amazing spot where we could check all the classic and gorgeous decor. The ambience is cozy, the staff are very efficient and friendly, the food was really tasty and delicious. We just regret to not go there before, since it was the first time in 10 years living in Montreal! We totally recommend!
Beautiful place in and the food is amazing. Drinks are also decently priced and very good, not some watered down cocktail. The marrow is a must try, but it’s not your usual starter portion for sure!
Start with a beautiful interior filled with "old school " charm and populate it with friendly attentive staff in crisp white shirts. Add to that some delicious food and you're ready for a relaxing dining experience. The smoked salmon was excellent as was the bangers and mash. Recommended.
I'm flexitarian so i eat meat very rarely but let me tell you, this place is WORTH IT. My family and I all took different plates to try as many things as possible. Dad had the Braised Beef shoulder which had an INCREDIBLE sauce and the beef was super tender! I had the Meat Ploughman's and everything was out of this world. My favorites were the duck ham which melted in your mouth, the pork rillette and the potato salad which was the best I've ever had and I've tried quite many! My mother had the special of the day which was a lamb shepherd's pie with mushrooms carrots and it came with a gravlax salad. Excellent! Finally my brother had the Bangers and Mash. The sausage available was white wine and herbs and it was unbelievable! For a culinary experience at a slightly higher price, I really recommend this place. I will definitely go back for special events. Very attentive and quick service as well.
Elegant and classy. Old 1920s style pub with delicious food and even more delicious cocktails. Classic drinks made by personable bartenders. They make their own tonic here so check that out. Fun ambiance and decor.
Food was amazing. To start White fish croquettes with tarragon mayonnaise. Main course braised beef shoulder with cheddar mash and horseradish carrots. Service was quick and friendly. Unique style dark and cozy. Washed down with a Whisky sour and classic old fashion. Eat here if your in town!
Make a Reservation! It’s super busy after the work hour, very hustle bustle loud till about 8-9pm. Amazing food, trust your servers on there recommendations and daily specials ; Don’t be afraid to ask about wine pairings either, they are keen to make sure your happy with tastings ; Super intimate and of olden days In the late evening... especially if you can get a wall or banquet seating. Toffee pudding for dessert was extraordinary!!! Great service, lovely atmosphere, vintage feel fun venue ; Ps coolest Clean! bathrooms, lol!
Great food! Everything we ordered on the table was great. My salmon was just right and all the ingredients were matched awesome. I felt like I can have another one. Highly recommend this place.
Went there tonight to catch up with friends that I haven’t seen in a while. The place is very classic with its decoration and interior setup. Food was really good and staff was so friendly and nice, even though a bit slow. It’s just because the place was so crowded. The music could be a bit lower, because we have been shouting to be able to hear each other. I had the roasted chicken over a salad and it was super good!
Beautiful french bistro/taverne. I have enjoyed their bone marrow dish followed by the chocolate fondant & sorbet and it was Perfect with a capital P! Service is always on point and shout out to the bartender who nailed our Spanish coffees and then went to the kitchen to get us a little bit of black chocolate to put in it.
