This is a dollar store. They have great value for cheap. They have much more selection than a dollarama. Great selection of craft supplies. The employees were very friendly and helpful.
Good value for money. It is always cluttered and isles unorganized . Products overstuffed it could be organized in a better way. Lots of food stuff and cosmetic is worth mentioning. It offers a wide variety of products from kitchen to books ,pet supplies ,hard ware food items like branded bread .
My go to dollar store because everything is 1.25. Lots of good craft supplies for the kids. They also sell a range of foil balloons you pay 1.25 for the balloon and then a fee for the helium. I know the prices went up slightly but still a get price for foil balloons
This is an actual DOLLAR STORE, unlike the “other” place! They have just as good a selection of items as the other place and MOST EVERYTHING is $1.25.nnGreat customer service, friendly staff, amazing prices! What more can you ask for?!
I visited this location last week with my 3 year old daughter and encountered a negative interaction with Varun.nnAs I walked in, my daughter accidentally dropped the display of kinder surprises on the floor. I apologized to Varun while I cleaned it up and he proceeded to say “Just leave it, I got it”nnI grabbed a cart and picked up a 12 pack of Nestle Water that HAD $2 green sticker on the package. I figured it was a good price for Nestle water so I added it to my cart.nnWhile standing in line to cash out, I witnessed Varun being impolite to a customer. I didn’t think much of it because I didn’t want to get involved nor did I know if Varun was having a bad day. When it was my turn to cash, I told Varun that I had a 12 pack Nestle water in my cart and he looked at me and said yeah I need to scan it.nnWhen he scanned the water, it did not show up as $2. He proceeded to tell me and I quote “ Some idiot put the wrong sticker on this water so it’s not $2” I said to him, well can you not honour the price still? He said “No I can’t” I asked why, he said because the water is not that price and it was an idiot placed the sticker there. This means that Varun was calling one of his other staff members an idiot while they were not present.nnAnyways, I asked to speak with a manager.nHe called over this manager and said “This lady wants the water for $2, the manager lady looked at him and said just give it to her then. As Varun continued to scan the rest of my items, I said to him “ I don’t know if you’re having a bad day, but you don’t need to take out your anger on me or customers” he said to me “ You’re just being unreasonable” I asked “ how am I being unreasonable? If something says a price which was mistake on your end, why can’t you not honour it if I am the customer I used to work as a cashier at a grocery store and we would honour our customers for these type of things”nnHe proceeded to ignore me and sort of threw my receipt at me after I paid. My dear, this is all happening while I had my three-year-old daughter listening. I had her in one head and I had groceries in the other hand, including a case of water. The customer behind me said to the cashier maybe you are having a bad day but just please be nice to your customer. That’s all I’m asking you. Before I left, I said to Varun, your customer service sucks and I don’t know how you’re still working here.nnIf I didn’t have my daughter with me, I would’ve taken this action further. I will not say that I am not going back to the store because I probably will since it’s in the area where I go sometimes but I would definitely not be interacting with Varun. I don’t know who his manager is, but please fire him. Your keeping staff members like him? Just remembered that this is a representation of your business. Keep work and personal life separated no need to bring the negativity to your place of work and if you’re having a bad day, and you know you can’t control, You should not be working with customers.nnPerhaps find another job where you can provide that type of attitude.
