Have rental there a number of times with no problems. Great people and great prices. Would recommend to anyone who rents a vehicle.
First time customer of Dixon car rentals, needed a vehicle when my vehicle went for repairs. I’m the kind of person who worries always about being overcharged or ripped off and they put all my worries at ease. The rental process was easy and painless and if I had an issue or question they were happy to help.
Completely horrible, called for a week straight saying my rental doesn’t have AC; is due for oil change and brakes needs changed, it seems if you go threw insurance for a rental this isn’t the place to go, your treated as low priority, all I’m asking for is a different rental that has AC. If I could give negative stars I would.
I am Italian and I speak English badly, I am not used to leaving reviews, but this time above all to help the unfortunates who will go to these irresponsible individuals I really have to do it. If it were possible I would have left 0 stars. We rented a car for 15 days, and to drive around 3,500 kilometers, almost double the normal cost of a rental, but okay, I'm not here to argue about the price since I knew it in advance. We were given a "NISSAN ROGUE BLACK", with smooth tires, but okay I postponed even though of course I was aware of it. We start, after only 300 kilometers the rear brake of the right wheel is broken, discs and pads completely gone, we are stuck in any town in Quebeq, luckily for us and for the rental car we have not suffered accidents. They are unable to give us a new car, absurd! We finally find a mechanic available to repair the car the next day, but the rental wants us to go to Nissan, after several emails I manage to convince them that I will not move the car and that the mechanic I found will repair it. In addition to the brake discs and pads, the front tires were also replaced, both so smooth that the mechanic had to call the rent a car to warn them that using the car in those conditions was very dangerous and he didn't feel like giving it to us like this. The gentlemen would have liked me to advance the money for the repair, obviously I told them they would have to pay them and they did. Upon delivery of the car, I asked that they come to meet me in some way for all the inconvenience they created, but above all to thank me for not having gone to the police to open a complaint. I was told by a hateful, rude and annoying blonde that they wouldn't do anything for us, that their cars are always checked and delivered in perfect condition. At this point it was almost a shame not to have suffered a serious accident, so as to ruin this car rental forever, because people like that deserve to end up on the street.
I was rented a vehicle at a reasonable price that was covered in dents and scratches all over the vehicle. I thought that was why it was a reasonable rate to rent. Unfortunately it was just a cover. as allegedly some other dent showed up and I got charged almost a thousand dollars to fix a vehicle that was a mass of imperfections. I would defintely take the extra effort and just go to enterprise rentals down the street rather then risk being ripped off.
$333 for one day rental. They said we had to pay for 2 days rental even though we didn't need it. We have used other rental companies in brockville and never had to pay for days we didn't need it or have it. Won't ever go back. Husband said they are not even nice people to deal with.
Should have went to Enterprise. Ended up spending $569 to have a Nissan Altima for 8 days. Enterprise would have been $313 unlimited mileage. I could live with the price since I kept having to add rental days because I wasnt sure when my car would be out of the shop. This was the first time i rented from Dixons. I had no idea how strick they are with return times. The car was due back at 1:40 pm. Brought it back at 3:30. Charged me for an extra day. Manager wouldnt do anything when I explained I didnt realize how strick the return times were. I explained that I spent $569 to rent the car for 8 days. Didnt care! I'll never rent a car from them again. Also charge you 16 cents a km after 200 km a day max
VERY accommodating, clean, friendly service. They were so helpful on the phone, and the car was in great condition. They showed us where to night drop the keys and made every effort to help us with the car rental. SUPER happy we went with them!! Thank you for the extra ride to the train as well, such a lovely offer from your great staff.
I had a funeral to attend. They had a car ready for my to pickup on a saturday morning. No extra charges. Had the vehicle for a week and was very pleased with the total at the end of it all. Great rates and nice new vehicles.
Had a new person working there. Didn't tell me about the extra fees I would have to pay for an extra driver, they only allow you to go 200km a day which she didn't tell us and get charged for extra kms, very limited selection, and also charge for a license fee. They rip you off by telling you they are giving you a deal for $40 a day, beyond disappointed.
