Dixon Grove Junior Middle School

Unfortunately, my experience at this school has been very disappointing. While there are a few good teachers, many staff members are unprofessional and rude. The school environment is poorly maintained—washrooms are often dirty, toilets are clogged, and issues like vaping and inappropriate behavior go unchecked.nnThere are frequent fights, and disciplinary actions are taken without proper investigation. Some teachers, especially in Grade 8, have been known to target students unfairly and even report them to parents without valid reasons. One of the vice principals, Miss Parris, has been particularly unhelpful. Instead of properly addressing issues, she often resorts to yelling at students and calling parents over minor incidents. Many students, including myself, feel that she does not handle situations effectively and instead puts students down.nnAdditionally, the school does not prioritize mental health, and many students feel unsupported despite their efforts. Overall, I regret attending this school, as my hard work felt wasted. I strongly encourage parents to carefully consider their options before enrolling their child here.

The Principle seems decent, and my son's homeroom teacher seems nice. But as a parent I enter this school and some of the staff are not very friendly. They walk right past you without even acknowledging that you are a parent ,this is my son's first year and The hospitality isn't so warming. I was greeting the librarian as a parent and I think it was the right thing to do, since my son seems to like her, imagine the woman seemed like she had to force the hi back, and barely looked at me. I may not look like an older parent but I'm a parent and I feel that the attitude they have is a reflection of the school. Just like when you are at work ,and you get a client you have to make them feel welcome in the building, and tbh some of the staff don't give you that feeling. And I like this school so far but the staff there I do agree with what some students on her are saying.nnLike how is my child in your class but you don't greet the parent when you see them?. And if you are rude to the parents or parent, how can we expect you to be better to our kids. Mr Ramon seems very cool, and my son's teacher so far.

Vice principle Bianca is extremely rude. I don't know how they hire such staff. I will remain anonymous so my kid doesn't suffer but will be taking this to the school board. Very bad attitude and should not be dealing with children. As long as she in employed there I do not recommend you put your kids here. Will be looking at other schools.

Justice for Mr. roy he did NOT throw a chair at a child, Dude is really chill and cool. Y’all just haters. He’s probably one of the top 5 best teachers at the school, Dude’s music taste is immaculate. He doesn’t play around during gym, but I like to work out so that makes it easier for me I guess. But I wish he played other music than the Ramones or “they’re eating the dogs” on the speaker during gym PLAY SOME KORN PLAY SOME LIMP BIZKIT PLAY MEGADETH PLAY SYSTEM OF A DOWN PLAY LINKIN PARK PLAY POWER MAN 5000 PLAY BLACK LIGHT BURNS maybe even some green day. Clean ver for every band obviously IM TIRED. OF HEARING. THE SAME. SONGS. More variety PLEASE. Id be even more active in gym if he played those ong but over all he’s just a chill guy. The spelling tests do be annoying but it’s okay I guess.

This school is alright and I love going here, but one of the office ladies just don’t care about anything , but everything else is okay.
