A great little Indian grocery! Some recent changes in the shop's interior make it more attractive. Staff are pretty helpful!
They have variety of pulses and flour in their collection. Small store but with good quality products. Most products are available in bulk quantity.
No space to walk, cleanliness can be improved, the place has a weird smell
Indian grocery store tucked inside a ally way opposite pembina crossing. It is easy to miss but was worth visiting this neighborhood store which had all the essential desi food items including but not limited to different Indian brands of Atta, Dal, Rice and all conceivable regular indian food items at reasonable prices. It is a congested, but has all the things you need which is good to have in your neighborhood. They also had vicks, Rooh Afza and all the little things which remind you of home, do visit!
I am a frequent visitor of this store and it is a great store to buy indian packaged products. Though they sometimes don't have what you need but that is to be expected for imported goods. Prices are reasonable enough. People living on Pembina Highway should visit this first as this is a really close by store.
Reasonable grocery store in town compared to other indian stores. Different and lots of variety available. 2 store in winnipeg town one in north and other one in south perfect. Owner and staff are really nice and taking care of customers.
I think if you are shopping please make sure that you don’t have a kid bcoz they won’t even give u a access to the washroom even if your kid has a an emergency it was so disgusting knowing that its bcoz of the kids.
READ THIS HONEST REVIEW GUYS long but true! Ok, this store is not too good. The owner thinks he can keep the expired items & the folks that visit, which r normally Indians, won't bother. But sorry sir, that's wrong! So, the story goes like this . . . I went there; found some expired items lying on the shelves. I didn't over react or anything; instead I was like, mistakes happen sometimes. I just told the owner to remove them. Went next time, found the same expired items still there; told him again. Went third time, found same expired items still there. This time on the counter wasn't the owner, but two hired guys. I told those guys that should remove the expired items from there. And his reply was, "why r u stuck to that particular item? Buy the one that's not expired." I was mad, but kept my anger within me. Shopped other things , went to the cashier counter. While he was scanning items, he asked the other guy to remove those expired items. I felt as if ultimately they removed them. But wait! I went next time; saw different items expired on shelves. Even this time there were these two hired guys. I let them know about the expired items; & reply was, "but y r u even buying that particular item?". F***! that's enough. While we were talking, owner arrived, & I let him know what happened, & he was so-called sorry. CONCLUSION: owner doesn't remove the expired items; he doesn't seem to know the severity of selling expired items. Second, those hired guys think it's funny, & they can give such replies. Well, hello owner of Didar, people will read this review and u have no idea that u can get into trouble! Store is good take 2 stars for that, but the way u don't remove the expired items even after a customer telling u to, is crazy!!!
Looking for anything Indian, this is your place! The have different variety for most of the stuff from vegetablesfresh to legumes. All the Parathas, paneer, cooking masalas, authentic spices. Basically your one stop for Indian groceries.
A friendly place behind Canad Inn on Pembina Highway. Sells most essential Indian groceries at reasonable prices. Owned and run by a husband wife team who are very friendly.
