There is a waterfall that you can walk in right on the campground! There's adorable 1800s homesteads at the campground too! Mostly everyone is a seasonal camper so sites for public camping are sparse but so worth it. Nice electric bathrooms and showers, wood and ice at the office and like 2 minutes from Maribel caves/hotel. It makes sense why there are so many seasonals with how great this campground is!
Very pretty area near the Devil's River with historic water wheel mill. We did not go into the campground area, but rather explored the old buildings and grounds, and the river side trail, all near the entrance. The river was really roaring through and impressive, probably because of all the rain previously. Noticed RVs camping above and overlooking the river, and campsites along the river banks. Charming area.
I absolutely love this campground. We have a large group that camp every 4th of July weekend. Nice shady camping spots to help keep cool. A gorgeous river with small waterfall areas. Nice flat rocks to walk in the water. Be careful, the rocks can be a little slippery. It is so beautiful to photograph. There is a swimming pond as well. There is a great park down the road that has hiking and caves too.
Absolutely amazing place! I had my senior pictures here, and it was perfect! There was next to nobody else there, so we had the whole area to ourselves. There’s a gorgeous waterfall and wooded area for forest pictures, and there’s rustic buildings for rustic photos. There’s just a small photography fee of $15, but it was so worth it!
One of the most beautiful campgrounds we stayed at, well groomed, beautiful wood and sunny sites, historical buildings with history and artifacts, and OMG the river with its waterfalls, all at the campgrounds, no traveling to experience them.Would love to return, only con is the pond, lots of algae,
Beautiful campground and very friendly ppl.. Our only concern was all the potholes in the road.. My car didn't like that at all..
We had a really nice stay here on short notice Sunday night. We were the only tent that we saw staying. Most rvs look like they live here all summer. Very quiet and friendly
The waterfalls at this campground was a gift as it was so cool and serene amidst the 90 degree/high humidity dog days of summer. Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful area, great campground
Had a wonderful time, wish the pond didn't have so many crabs in it.....lol....but it was relaxing to play in !! Everyone is friendly
