Delux Burger Bar

We wanted to go for a nice lunch on a Friday. We waited for an hour for food. The table of people that arrived after us got their food. After an hour with still no food, we asked for it to be packed up when its ready and get our bills. They claimed the "kitchen got slammed". It's lunch hour downtown Edmonton? The restaurant was not packed by any means. If there was an issue, be up front about it, I'm sure we could have gone elsewhere and gotten better service and food. We got back to the office where my co-worker had cold fries and my sliders looked like this:

Really disappointed as we just moved back to Edmonton after 7 years and we really missed deluxe so we were excited to eat here again. Went here for a late lunch yesterday and the service and food was horrible. There were the 2 of us and 1 other table of 3 in the restaurant. The server took 5 minutes before she noticed we had walked in. They were out of shock top draught beer, which is ok however the server suggested a similar beer they had on tap and it was the complete opposite of shock top! Not similar at all and not good! She should not recommend beer if she doesn’t know about it. The food was absolutely disgusting. We ordered 2 burgers with fries and gravy. The French fries were cold and bland. The tomatoes on my burger were old and rotten, I picked them off. Mushroom Swiss burger had way too much truffle on it. Couldn’t taste anything else over that! Even the gross beer didn’t taste like beer, still tasted like truffle. The server waited until we were almost done our food before she came over again to Our table. She was in the back the whole time so couldn’t even complain as she wasn’t around. She did not seem very happy about being there. No smile. No polite greeting. No conversation.

Came here before going to the hockey game, I kid you not when I say we came in at 515 and by 630 we still had not received our food. It was quite busy, and the server came by to apologize for the wait, and that's fine, the trouble was that other patrons that came in after us had received their food and left and some had at least gotten their food. We ordered truffle fries and a burger and fries to boot, not something overly complicated, which also didn't sit right. Really don't know what happened, but we still ended up paying for our drinks. In the end we just left because there was no time to enjoy our meal before the game. Better off to go with any of the other many restaurants around the area after this experience. Again, mistakes happen, but there was not much explanation as to why we hadn't received our food while others had been served after us. There had been another table in the restaurant that looked to be having the same problem, hopefully they got fed. Prayers up.

We stopped in before going to see the Amazing Jim Gaffigan. I think because there was not a big hockey crowd this night, the service was a bit slow. One more staff member would have been helpful. Our waitress was very kind and the mushroom burger was delicious. We will be back.Food: 5/5

Took 10 minutes to get the menu, 40 minutes for the foods to come out. Food was not hot, fries dry and cold, the fish taco was gross couldn't even take a second bite. Bill was done incorrectly twice, ordered burger that comes with fries, ask if we could have salad, ended up with additional $3 charge for salad without being informed of the additional charge when taking our order. 2 of us came back to the office with a tummy ache. We would not recommend or return to this location ever again.

Ordered here one and only time. Nothing tasted fresh! fries were dry tasted day old. For the price i was expecting higher standards.

THEY’RE OPEN ON EVENT DAYS EVEN IF GOOGLE SAYS CLOSED! Website isn’t up to date on hours so just call ahead to double check that they’re open My favourite place to grab a burger before an oilers game at rogers, great food and great service

I really enjoy going to this Delux Burger Bar location , it has amazing food and good service . However it’s not open on weekends which doesn’t make any sense to me as my family and I go to a lot of hockey games at Rogers Place, along with many others . Boston Pizza will continue to get all the business . Hopefully the owner will rethink his business schedule . Also if the owner is reading this , I recommend getting a sign or two indicating that your restaurant is even in the Edmonton Tower throughout the building , even if it’s just a couple foldable signs .

Terrible service! Servers aren’t attentive or polite!! Never going to return to the Ice District location. St. Albert & West Side location could teach this group some lessons!!

I love the service I get here everytime. The servers are fast and friendly and always suggest their favorite menu items if I ask. I had the chicken wings today and they definitely are not my favorite I like a more traditional wing where these are breaded and very very thicc BUT I've had other menu items that are very delicious! Love coming to Delux when I have to work downtown. :
