Story

Picture a secluded wooded setting with large green lawns, away from freeway noise yet only 5 minutes from town. Now taste the pure well water and hear the birds singing high up in the towering oaks and firs. Just another day at Deerwood RV Park. On 10 spacious acres, the sites are nestled among ponds, lawns and ancient trees. Get up early and walk the nature trail to the pond. If you’re quiet you’ll spot the Wood Ducks or one of the other fury or feathered residents.

We stay at Deerwood Park for all the Duck Football games. The owners, and staff are very friendly, and helpful. This park is nicely landscaped, has mature trees and is kept up. The spots are large, and even have wonderful metal table and chairs for two. We love coming here. Its easy to get to, right off I5. Another reviewer gave them a not so far score based on FREEWAY noise. Not very fair. If a park is off a freeway, there is a chance you'll hear noise. You can however turn your fan on in your coach, close the vents to drown out noise when you sleep. This helps a ton. You will not be disappointed staying here. If noise is an issue, ask for you to be put towards the back.

I would have loved to have given this RV park 5 stars, but I can't, not in all good conscience, as we had a spot closest to Highway 58 (Site 66) and the road noise was horrible, even with the TV on trying to block it out. After trying for 5 hours to get to sleep, I finally just gave up. The lady at check in was very friendly and helpful, but wish by reading the reviews prior to our stay that we had been forewarned about the traffic noise. I am sure that the ones giving this RV park a 5 star review had to have been parked at the other end where it was much quieter. Because 'some' road noise does not describe where we parked at all. We have been on the road since May and I was so disappointed to come home to our home state and have it be the noisiest one we've stayed at, yet. Other than that, it was nicely landscaped, although we didn't get a chance to actually walk around the park. I don't know how they could 'fix' the problem with the traffic noise but if you want a good night's sleep, don't stay on the side nearest the highway, if you can help it. Or bring ear plugs.

We had a premium site that was perfectly situated to give space and privacy. Didn't care for being told I could only smoke a cigarette at my site and nowhere else in the campground. Overall nice and in a good, convenient location.

Awesome. Picturesque. Clean. Big spots. Off the Freeway. Wrapped in trees. Bathrooms and property clean and well sorted. 11 minutes to town. $17 cab ride. Pacific Pride station nearby and tire shop. We will be back for sure

The facilities and grounds are very nice, all the parking pads are roomy and have beautiful landscaping. The laundry and showers are very clean and roomy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend for short or long term.
