Burnaby Village Museum is a great little gem of a place to visit, especially at this time of year (Christmas), where you can walk around visiting the various historic buildings (old schoolhouse, farm homes, blacksmith shop and historic stores) that have staff and volunteers in period costume. Great place to take kids. It also has wonderful old historic Carousel (complete with Wurlitzer organ) to take a ride on. Oh and also the entrance price is great too. Its free :)

Very cute to walk through. The City of Burnaby has all the heritage buildings dressed up for the holiday season. Be sure to grab a map and a list for the scavenger hunt to play along with as you walk through. Be sure to leave enough time to walk through all of the buildings and listen to the interesting historical points given. This is the last weekend to see Santa!

Parking is tough here. Assuming you can find a spot then the park itself is reasonably nice. It's clean and well kept. It's lacking facilities, however.
The boat rental is really the only entertaining feature here. Otherwise you're better off in many other parks if looking for trails, picnic spots, and sports.

This is one of my favorite places in Burnaby! The park itself is so beautiful, and The Burnaby Heritage Village is fun to explore and I love the carousel and its history. In the summertime, the lake boasts boat rentals and is a perfect slice of serenity in the middle of the city.

The Burnaby Village museum is a quaint little place. I was there December 28th and it was still decorated for Christmas. It was beautiful even thou it was raining. All the staff were very knowledgeable about the buildings they were in. I would recommend visiting this gem.
