De Thai Cuisine

We had a wonderful dinner at De Thai Cuisine! Fresh Thai rolls, green curry, coconut rice, pad Thai and finished the dinner with deep fried bananas and ice cream! The presentation, food quality and service was outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant! Vegetarian options: Many options for vegetarian cuisine... particularly the pad Thai with tofu!

Unfortunately, I haven’t had the pleasure of dining in yet. But the take out ordering was very easy to use, and the staff was extremely friendly during pick up. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. It was not over salted/seasoned like I find most Thai restaurants here in Calgary. I love that they truly mean “mild” when they give you an option for spiciness. There are also a lot of protein options per dish. I’d love to try their lunch options as it appears to be a bit cheaper. I am giving it four stars because the portions are on the smaller end considering the premium you pay per dish. Pictured below from top to bottom and left to righ is: tom yum soup large, drunken noodles, coconut rice, pineapple fried rice, papaya salad and yellow curry.

Cozy place with excellent servers. Dishes can be modified for gluten free diets celiac and all of the food I tried was delicious. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Dietary restrictions: A number of marked gluten free dishes and servers appear knowledgeable about gluten free options.

Not sure how it compares to authentic Thai but it's pretty yummy. Portion sizes are a bit small for the price. It's priced a bit high for what you get but the service is good and it's cute inside. We really enjoyed the Thai music that played. Coconut ice cream is pretty good!

Quaint, authentic and tasty! We were out for a "date escape" and in the mood for something interesting, someplace our lovely but picky children would not let us go. This really fit the bill! The menu is set up interestingly between rice dishes, Pad Thais, soups and specials. The rice dishes have numerous curry options, like the traditional red, yellow and green, but also others like brown, ginger and cashews. Between us, we had a brown curry lunch special just to be different with coconut rice and the coconut soup with shrimp and the coconut ice cream I sense a theme! It was all fantastic! The brown curry was almost gravy like with peanuts, onions and potatoes. The coconut rice was really nice: a little more complex than the varieties that either just cook it in coconut milk or add shredded. The coconut soup had a surprising zip to it with some strong notes of lemongrass and the coconut ice cream was a perfect finisher. There's a lot more to try there. We'll be back.

Unexpected authentic perfection. All raw ingredients, every dish made from scratch. And you can taste it. Best TomYum soup I have ever had in Canada. Excellent foodie experience.

Wonderful, tasty food with excellent service. One of my favourite places to go for Thai in the city.

Small servings for the money. Panang curry was bland. Kao soi was watery and bland. Pad Thai tasted more like a Chinese shanghai noodles dish than pad Thai. Probably the worst Thai dishes I've eaten. Will not return.

Great food! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free or can be easily made gluten free if requested. Most meals have you add in the protein of your choice-- chicken, seafood, beef, tofu. and the tofu is gluten free! It was a great place to go for a family birthday dinner and our waitress Ah-ah was so lovely! Make a reservation if you want to go on a Friday or Saturday though; it's a popular place

Great ambience and friendly staff. In my opinion, not really the best tasting authentic thai food. We ordered papaya salad, basil chicken and drunken noodles with beef. Food tasted good, but just not authentic flavor compared to other places I have been to. In my opinion food was not spicy event though it was rated spiciest on the menu card. Do give this place a try though :
