Great mom and pop breakfast joint. Service is always amazing, portions are good and dishes come out quite promptly. Price is very affordable and so on Saturday and Sunday mornings it can be fairly packed. I would recommend this place strongly.

Food was excellent, as always. Service was also excellent. However, because of the small space, I would have preferred Plexiglas separating booths.

Fresh cut potato hash browns is rare. I appreciate that. Will be coming back for breakfast.

Home of the BEST French Toast in Winnipeg. It's the PERFECT blend of egg and bread. Highly recommended.

Great restaurant! Food is always delicious!! Our favorite is the many breakfast choices. The home style hash browns with onions are the best!! Our family supports local restaurants and hope that the Dawning Restaurant can survive this pandemic!

It was awesome good food and great service

Went there for the first time today and it was great! I got the eggs Benedict w/ farmers hash and it was delicious. The prices were very fair and the service was polite and attentive. The decor was simple but very welcoming. Clearly a regular spot for many diners there. Will definitely return for more!

Excellent family owned local St. James gem. The food is excellent, owners are friendly and the service is always fantastic. Both the breakfast & lunch menu are delicious. Must try!!!

This old fashioned restaurant serves up value priced breakfast specials and lunch time fare incl burgers, homemade soups and classics reuben, blt etc. Service is friendly and rapid. Don't look for exciting decor..just great food at great prices. Ample parking in front of the restaurant. NOT open late evenings
