Phillip was amazing to deal with recently with my moms sudden and unexpected passing. The Dartmouth Funeral Home is locally owned and operated. Very personal service and down to earth. Due to Covid regulations, we had a simple and respectful service that Rev. James Haughn officiated. I would not hesitate to recommend this business for the simple and personal touch. When my father passed away in the early hours of a December morning in 2014, I called Dartmouth Funeral Home from the private family room of the palliative care wing. I was still wrapping my head around having spent the night by his side as he passed when Phil answered and after a short phone call I already felt some peace. Phil made arrangements for my father’s pick-up and walked me through the steps I’d need to navigate to announce my his death. He guided me through arrangements and all of the little things that have to be done in such a way, that none of it felt overwhelming. He was kind, patient and considerate. No detail was left unattended, even chauffeuring my grieving mother from her home to the church service and back. The fees were more than fair and the attention to detail was outstanding. Phil and his team were truly a bright light during an otherwise very difficult time. And now, years later, I’ve had to call and request more copies of my father’s death certificate as my mother continues to wade through bureaucracy and Phil answers the phone, kind, patient, and every bit as helpful and attentive as he was nearly four years ago.

Without question, Philip and his team are the very best at what they do! Could not have asked for better service at a very difficult time. They will take care of everything so you have one less thing to worry about. Highly recommended!!
