Always a delicious meal at Damas. Enjoy the authentic Middle Eastern flavors. Garlic sauce is always light and fluffy. Fries are crispy and well seasoned. And the Arabic Shawarma is very satisfying. I will typically get some Kebbeh as a side when I am here, since it is very well made. Thank you!
Today my husband I decided to grab some lunch after finishing our bank appointment. We thought about having some tacos but then changed our minds and decided to try something different. We went to Damas Cafe in the food court of Marlborough Mall. We could not make up our minds with what to eat and talked with the man behind the counter. Told him I couldn't eat too much salt and spicy. He suggested for me to have the number 12 which was the mixed meat skewer. The meat both chicken and beef were cooked perfectly and laid over a bed of properly cooked rice. There was a side of salad sprinked with balsamic and a side of tzatziki and a side of hummus. He suggested for my wife to have the number 7 which was beef donair sprinkled with sweet sauce, hot sauce and another sauce I can't for the life of me spell. The meat was cooked perfectly, had a the right amount of red onions and served on a bed of rice. Also with the same sides as mine. We also tried the Kebbeh. The outside had a proper amount of crunch and the inside tasted so amazing. We also tried the vegan falafel. It was melt in your mouth and had a sweet taste to it. Tasted absolutely amazing. We will be back here for sure for future amazing meals. The staff is friendly and treated us well, almost like family. Dietary restrictions: My husband can't eat a lot of salt abd spicy foods due to health problems. They made his food fresh without salt and spicy so that he could enjoy the meal.
I really enjoyed this beef sharwarma. It was served in generous portion. The flavors of beef, herbs and sauces blended well. There is satisfaction in each bite. I will come back to try their samosas, falafel and kebab.
Damas Cafe is a hidden gem tucked in the Marlborough Mall food court. I had the beef kebab platter. The meat was tender, juicy, well seasoned, and topped with parsley and chopped red onion. The salad included radishes, orange bell peppers, pickled vegetables, and pita chips. The rice, hummus, and garlic sauce were standard. The platter doesn't come with pita or potatoes, which I am completely fine with, since it includes plenty of rice. If you request the platter with two kebabs, it comes out to just under $17 before tax a few dollars cheaper than the equivalent dish at Jerusalem Shawarma and includes enough food to satisfy the vast majority of appetites. The cafe also serves specialty Syrian dishes for 4-7$, which I will be coming back to try.
Some of the best Shawarma I've had in the city. My favourite is the Arabic beef shawarma seen here. Delicious and generous portions!
Great place for dining at Marlborough mall. Great Authentic Arabic Shawarma. The kebab and Shish taok plates are tasty. The Falafel is the best in town. Highly recommend.
We tried the vegan falafel with fries and hummus, and it was very delicious. Everything was fresh, I appreciate that. 100% recommended :
The food was not cooked properly and quantity is also less for what we pay for, the owner of this restaurant is too greedy he doesn’t provide proper food, I ordered shish taouk bbq, the chicken pieces should be 5, be he provided only three, and next time he provided 3+1 and that one was too small which didn’t even count as half piece, the rice is half baked. Other food is also not nice, prices are too high for the quantity what they provide. Never recommend this as good restaurant..
I recommend this restaurant, which is located in the food court of  Marlborough Mall. The chicken donair was delicious! The garlic sauce on top tastes like marsh mellow whip cream, and the pita is nice and thin with succulent insides... I'm already craving another!
Great find in Calgary! One of the best shawarma wraps I’ve had outside of the Middle East. The pomegranate sauce took it over the top!Food: 5/5
